ELAINA POV My heart started to race as a knot formed in my throat. It’s been so long since I’ve seen him, and even though he wasn’t the type of father that praised or be overly involved in his children’s lives, I did miss him so much, but I had to keep my head in my current situation. I couldn’t let him figure out who I was, not that I think that he would care. No matter what we tried or accomplished, Britney and I weren’t on his important list. I steeled and willed my heart to calm down and swallowed silently, blinking a few times to get rid of the tears that formed in the corner of my eyes. It was so good to see him again. Even Clara danced on her feet in my mind in joy. It didn’t look like he changed much except for his greying temples and a few frown lines on his face. He looked good
