It was the smell that made me stir. I uttered a muffled cry in pain as I tried to move my aching body, and my throat was so dry that it made swallowing difficult and even though my head was foggy, I felt myself slowly starting to become more aware of my surroundings but again it was the smell that drew me more and more from my sleep. Nera growled and snarled in my head that made me flinch at the stabbing headache that it caused, and I cursed Nera out loud, but that only made her snarl at me again.
