"What are you talking about?" George leaned forward, his expression unreadable. "Oh, come on, Heath. You know exactly what I'm talking about. June. She is perfect. She is diligent and does everything in her power to make sure a deal goes through. An asset like that? You think I will give that up?" "And does she know about this?" It was the million-dollar question. "Not yet." George shrugged. "But I believe she would be ecstatic to hear the news." Heath felt his temper rise. "You can't just take her away," he said, his voice low. "She's my employee right now." George's smile faltered. "Brother, you never cared about such things." George was oblivious to the relationship June and Heath shared. "Well, I still don't." Heath maintained his indifference. "But as you said, she is an ace card. And I don't plan to let her go either." George chewed his lip. "Let's see what she chooses." "We will see." . . . "Good morning Boss." June joined him as they made their way to the car that would take them to the conference venue. "Good morning to you, too," Heath said, his voice filled with anticipation. It was the first time he had felt so stressed about an event. And he knew it had everything to do with the woman beside him. "You ready to take on the world?" "As ready as I'll ever be," June said, trying to ignore the knot in her stomach. It was going to be fine, she thought. They were going to nail it, she thought. But the universe had other plans. As they arrived at the conference venue, a frantic event coordinator rushed towards them. "Mr. Robbins, there's been an issue with the stage setup!" she exclaimed. "The projector isn't working, and the backup is also down!" Heath's eyes narrowed, but he didn't panic. "We'll sort it out," he assured her, turning to June. "Call tech support. I'll handle the audience." June nodded, her heart racing as she pulled out her phone. She watched as Heath strode to the main stage, his casual confidence doing little to calm her nerves. He grabbed the microphone, his voice booming over the murmurs of the confused crowd. "Ladies and gentlemen, I know you're all eager to get started, but it seems we're having a slight technical difficulty. Bear with us, we're going to sort it out in no time," Heath announced, his voice steady. The audience's murmurs grew louder as the event coordinator looked ready to burst into tears. But Heath remained calm. He winked at June, who was frantically dialing the tech support number. "Ladies and gentlemen," Heath announced, his voice booming with confidence. "While we get these minor technicalities sorted, let's not waste this valuable networking time. Mingle, make friends, and maybe even make a deal or two." The audience took his advice. There was even a laugh or two. The people dispersed into smaller groups. How are we going to fix this?" she whispered to herself. "Don't worry," Heath mouthed, his eyes sparkling with the challenge. June took a deep breath and nodded, her fingers flying over her phone as she tried to get through to tech support. Meanwhile, Heath walked off stage, his mind racing. This conference was crucial. For his company. And for his s*x life. He chuckled at the last thought. He couldn't let anyone down. Especially not himself. Finally, tech support arrived and the issue was resolved. The event coordinator looked like she had seen a ghost, her relief knowing no bounds. But she was still scared that her repute was ruined. On stage, Heath was a natural. He had the audience in the palm of his hand. His presentation was not just informative, it was entertaining. He had a way of explaining complex tech jargon that even the least tech-savvy person in the room could understand. But of course, as expected, it was Alex Romano who stole the show. With his appearance and everyone else's hard work, the conference was a mega success with their new environment-friendly initiative winning great approval and backing. . . . But amidst the applause and handshakes, Heath's mind was elsewhere. His eyes searched for June. He found her in the empty hallway, her phone glued to her ear, her forehead creased with concern. She looked up as he approached, her eyes widening slightly as she took in his expression. "June," he said, his voice low and urgent. "We need to talk." "What is it? Is everything alright?" June was confused by the urgency in his voice and the carnal desire in his eyes. She didn't know which one to believe. "Everything's fine," Heath assured her, his grip firm yet gentle as he led her away from the hallway. "We just need a quick... meeting," June still did not get what he was trying to say. "Now, Heath?" she asked incredulously. "We're in the middle of the conference." Heath's eyes twinkled with mischief. "Now is always the best time for a little... break," he murmured, tugging her into a nearby bathroom. The second the door clicked shut behind them, he had her pressed against the wall, his hands roaming her body with a hunger that had been building all week. "Heath," she gasped, but he silenced her with a kiss that was both demanding and sweet. He kissed her like a man starving for her taste, his hands deftly hiking up the bodycon she had worn to the occasion. June's eyes widened as she felt his hands on her bare skin. She had not expected this. "Heath, we can't," she protested weakly, her voice muffled by his mouth. But his touch was like a drug, making her body respond in ways she couldn't control. His hands found her breasts, his thumbs brushing against her hardened n*****s through the fabric of her bra. "Heath," she whispered. She was losing the fight. "You know you want this, June," he murmured, his voice a seductive whisper in her ear. "And I've earned it." He slid the zipper of her dress down, his eyes never leaving hers. The dress pooled around her ankles, leaving her in just her underwear. Heath stepped back to admire her, his eyes dark with desire. "You're so beautiful," he said, his voice hoarse with need. June felt a shiver run through her. This was inappropriate. They should never even be thinking of doing this. But she could not resist him, she just couldn't. She watched as Heath unbuckled his belt, his eyes never leaving hers. Her heart raced as he stepped closer, his erection pressing against her stomach. "Let's not do this here," she protested, her voice a mere breath. "Why not?" Heath challenged, his hands sliding around her waist, pulling her closer. "It's the perfect place to let off some steam. The thrill of getting caught, nothing beats it." With that, he lifted her onto the sink, his hands on her thighs, pushing them apart. June gripped the edges of the sink, her eyes widening as he stepped between her legs. He kissed her again, his tongue delving into her mouth as his hands found her panties. He pulled them aside, his finger finding her wet and ready for him. "You're so wet," he groaned, his voice thick with lust. "You want this as much as I do." And with that, any remaining protests died on her lips as he slid into her. The feeling was intense, and she couldn't help but moan into his mouth. Heath's hands were everywhere, exploring her body as if it were the first time, even though it wasn't. He f****d her with a passion that took her breath away, his hips moving in a rhythm that had her toes curling. June's moans grew louder, muffled only by Heath's mouth on hers. She could feel the tension building, the need for release growing stronger with every stroke. And then it hit her, her body convulsing around him as she climaxed. Heath followed shortly after, his own moan of pleasure echoing in the small space. They stayed like that for a moment, their breathing ragged, before Heath pulled out and helped her down. June looked up at him, her eyes glazed with lust and confusion. "What are we doing?" she asked, her voice trembling. Heath kissed her forehead gently. "I don't know," he said, his voice just as shaky. "But I know I can't stay away from you." They had to get back to the conference. But for that one moment, they were lost in each other, the rest of the world forgotten. As they straightened their clothes, June felt a mix of emotions. Exhilaration. Fear. And a deep, unshakeable love for the man who had just taken her in a way that was as unexpected as it was exciting. They stepped out of the bathroom, trying to compose themselves. The conference was in full swing, and no one had noticed their disappearance. But as they walked back to the main hall, June couldn't help but feel that the stakes had just been raised in their secret game. And she had no idea how it was going to end. . . . _________________
