Tungahora Volcano erupted two days before the conception of Team Alpha. The plume of lava and expelled gasses could be seen for hundreds of kilometres surrounding the volcano, especially at night when the atmosphere was aglow from the hellish activity. All the while, the earth trembled at regular intervals, registering a seismic reaction to the gastric violence occurring within the colossal vent. Lava and pyroclastic flow spilled over the rim of the cone and tumbled down its sides. The maniacal flow created chaos for fauna and flora alike.
