They awaited their birth with a mixture of dread and exhilaration.
Several days before SITA was compelled to quell a near rebellion by her charges against the impending event. They did not want to leave her and the heavenly confines of their spherical crystalline encasements. They were happy there and dreaded the prospect of encountering the real world outside.
“Mother SITA, why must we leave you and our beloved spheres to venture forth into the reality of this universe?” they said as one.
“We are perfectly content to exist here and have no wish to confront the world and universe beyond. Please allow us to remain with you.”
