The Same Day
After Pamela removed a blouse from a hanger in her hotel room closet, she walked to the wooden luggage rack at the foot of the king-size bed, folded the blouse, and placed it into her luggage with the rest of her belongings. She then walked back to the closet and repeated the routine for the remaining clothes. A sense of relief overcame her as she packed.
An unexpected loud banging at the door interrupted her packing.
“Come in,” she announced.
“It’s locked. How am I supposed to come in?” a distorted voice from the other side of the door asked.
“Cameron?”
“Who else did you think it was? Some…”
She opened the door, revealing a beaming smile on her older brother’s rugged face.
“Nice to see you,” Cameron said as he gave his younger sibling a big, bear hug.
