Daniel wasn’t surprised Gerald Ravan emailed his fraternity brother, Ed. As in-house counsel for Regal Wisteria, Gerald was always intimately involved with cases right from the start and would frequently email or speak with Daniel when the Mendoza firm was retained on a case. What surprised Daniel was Ed’s characterization he received an “interesting email.” It was unlike Ed to dramatize things especially when it involved legal work. If Ed characterized the email that way, then it had to be something really important Gerald needed the legal team to know.
Daniel walked around Ed’s desk so he could look at the email himself and asked, “What is it?”
