Immortal : Immortal mates

Chapter 2

For the last two months, the only thing that I have done was train. I look in the mirror to see that my body is back to its original fullness with a little more curves added. Tonight's  the night. I throw on black pants,shirt and boots. I put my hair in a ponytail. I grab my jacket  before leaving my room. I go to the main office to get more information on my hit tonight. I open the door to see Kate and Imani already there.

 " Why is she here?"

 " She's going to be your backup on this hit." I bite my lip to keep from snapping.  I look over at Kate to see her smiling. 

What's her plan this time?

 " The two of you will go to the McKinnon mansion and kill them." I nod my head.

 " One of the maids will have one of the secret exits unlocked for you. Here's the map to the bedroom." I grab the map from Imani looking at it for a few seconds.

 " Get to it." I walk out the office with Kate following behind me.

 " I'm the lead on this mission." I roll my eyes and keep walking to the front door. I walk past the car parked in the front into the forest.

" The ride is here. Where are you going?"

 " I need to grab something. "

 I walk a mile stopping in front of one of the biggest trees in the forest. I crouch down pulling the weeds and vines at the bottom of the tree. I pick up a loose  trunk grabbing my bag. I look through  it seeing my knives, money and a track phone. I put the trunk back in place then throw the bag over my shoulder. 

I walk back to the mansion. Kate leans against the car.

 " What did you go and get." I get in the passenger seat not responding to her. She gets in the driver seat pulling off. The drive to the McKinnon estate  was two hours of me listening to Kate's horrible taste in music. While ignoring her it gave me time to look at the map. The room that we are looking for is on the second floor. 

Let's hope that no unnecessary people  get hurt tonight. The car stops on the side of the road. 

" Let's go." I hop out of  the car leaving my bag under the seat. We walk into the dense woods for a while.

 "How far is the entrance?"

"Here." I raise my eyebrow as we stand in front  of a willow tree. Kate feels around the tree " bingo." She takes the bark off the tree  then walks inside. I follow behind  closing it. We walk down some stairs then straight down the tunnel. After   five minutes,  we came to a door. Kate puts her ear to it before opening the door.

 I walk  into the kitchen closing the door quietly. All the lights were off covering us. I follow Kate up the  stairs. 

Where are the guards at? We make it to the top of the staircase.

 " You check all the rooms on the right and I'll check all the rooms on the left." I nod my head. As I'm about to walk away she grabs my arm. I look back at Kate to see her holding a gun. I grab it putting in the back of my  pants. 

The first three rooms were empty. I stop in front of the four door hearing movement. I pull the gun out. I grab the door nod moving it slowly and pushing the door open. I point my gun at a woman and her two kids standing in the middle of the room.

 " Please don't kill my girls." She pulls the girl's face into her stomach. 

"I know Imani sent you to kill but please not my girls. Can you please take them." 

" Why is there a hit on you?"

 " Power over the immortal  kingdom and werewolf. Dominick wants to rule but needs to kill all of us." 

Shit they set me up to kill kids.

 She walks over to me grabbing my free hand placing a necklace in it.

 " This will grant you protection." I look at the ruby diamond with MK embedded in the center.

 " Take them" a bullet goes by my head and into her skull. The two little girls scream out in terror. I turn behind me to see Kate.

 " Good thing I came over when I did or you would have did something silly." Kate walks over to me. I place the necklace in my pants pocket.

" Kill them." I look back at the girls crying for their mother. I pull my gun out pointing at them.  As I press the trigger I turn back to Kat shooting her in the chest. I run over to the girls grabbing one of their  arms.

 " We have to go." The oldest looks at me.

" Nayyirah stop crying we need to go." The younger one wipes her eyes. I pull them to the door when the olders jerk her hand back. 

" What?" 

" I need to grab something." 

" Hurry." She runs under the bed pulling out a bag. We rush out of the room down the stairs when a light comes on.

 A six foot man with long black hair stands in the middle of the hall. 

" Taylor you're being a very bad girl." He waves his finger at me walking towards us. " Go." I push the girls to the kitchen. I was pushed into the wall.

 " Fuck." I push myself out of the wall grabbing the gun off the floor. I run into the kitchen  to see him holding the little girl by the neck. I shot him in the leg making him drop the girl. I walk closer shooting twice in his chest. He chuckles standing up. 

The bullets push out of his chest and leg. f**k werewolf great.  He charges at me. I shot him in both eyes then run to the secret passage.

 " Go." I run full speed down the tunnel. I run up the steps to see the girls standing in front of the tree."We have to go." I pick the youngest up and we start running towards the car. We made it to the road when a loud growl erupted. The girls scream in terror. 

" Get in the car. " They both get in the back seat while I get in the passenger seat. I look in  the visor and glove compartment for the keys. 

" f**k. " I grab my bag from under the passenger  seat when something hits the car. The girls scream, I look up to see a bloody Kate standing on the hood off the car. I pull a knife out my bag then get out of the car.  

" You b***h. I'm going to kill you like Imani  should have." Kate runs towards me as black markings move to her hand forming a knife. I dodge her attack, slicing her across the back. She growls turning around charging at me waving a knife in each hand. 

I bend my knees,jumping as she swings both knives  at me. I flip midair grabbing her hair pulling her backwards. I slice the knife around her throat as my feet hit the ground. I pat her front pocket not feeling key. I flip her over seeing the keys in the back pockets. The ground shakes I look up to see a black werewolf standing a ten feet away from me.

  " Shit." I grab the keys printing to the car. I swing the door open shoving the keys in the ignition. 

" Put your belt on." I slam my foot on the gas driving towards the werewolf. I grab the gun shooting through  the windshield hitting him a couple times. He was charging to the car not fazed by the bullets. 

Let's see if this slow him down. I reach in my bag grabbing a silves gas bomb. I press the button then throw  the bomb out the window then roll the window  up fast. The silver shots out everywhere making a thick fog. I drive straight through the fog of silver. I check the mirror seeing his shadow still in the fog.

 " Are y'all okay?" I look in the backseat seeing the huddled together. 

" Yeah. Where are you taking us?" The oldest pull away from her sister sitting up. 

" A friends house for now." She shakes her head pulling sister to her. 

What am I about to do with them two? Imani is going to send every immortal after me. I glance back at the girls through the mirror. Whoever Imani is dealing with wants them dead too. What am I going to do?
