I wake up out of my sleep tired and hard. What was all that K?Dreaming about her. I sit on the edge of my bed shaking the thoughts out of my head.

What does that mean? No reply. I get out of bed going to the bathroom. I look in the mirror at my eyes glowing gold.

What's going on? Close my eyes and rub them. I reopen my eyes to see their original hazel color. I stare for a few minutes before getting in the shower. I wash up fast before getting out of the shower. I grab my toothbrush as my phone rings.

Who's calling this early? I walk in my bedroom grabbing my phone off the nightstand seeing mom.

"Morning mom."

" Morning Kaine, I want you to grab some breakfast before you leave for work."

" I'll stop pass."

" I'll see you in a few." I put my phone back on the nightstand. I go back to the bathroom washing my face and brushing my teeth. I throw on a black shirt and pants with my black and white nike. I grab my phone and badge before leaving the house. I get in the car driving straight to my parents house. I get out of the car texting Tommy that I'll meet him at the office. I walk in the house smelling bacon causing my stomach to growl.

" Hey mom," I walk over to the stove kissing her cheek.

" Hey baby." I lean against the counter grabbing a banana off the counter.

" Where's dad?"

" Talking to those immortals." I nod my head munching on the banana.

" Have you talked to Maya?"

" No."

" Why not," I shrug my shoulders pushing off the counter.

" Kaine."

" Mom," I take a seat at the table.

" What's wrong with Maya?"

" She doesn't feel right. There's no connection between us." Mom place a plate of scrambled eggs, bacon, toast and la bowl of grits on the table.

" Thanks."

" Your welcome," she takes a seat across from me. We eat in silence for a few minutes.

" Mom."

" Yes."

" You remember the stories you use to tell me about how the moon goddess sends you visions as dreams."

" Yeah,what about that?"

" Have you ever had one?" Mom pokes her lips out thinking.

" Yes one time when I was pregnant with you. Your father got hurt badly from war and we didn't know if he was going to make it. I was so stressed out that I was about to lose you. I went to sleep having a dream of James playing with you and I knew that he would make it. Why did you ask?"

" I've been having some weird dreams lately." I pick up a piece of bacon.

" Pay attention to them. You might have a dream about your mate." Mom points her forks at me.

" I will." After I finish my food, I put my plate in the dishwasher.

" Thanks for breakfast," I kiss mom's forehead.

" You're welcome, take them cookies to the station."

"Mom."

" Boy take them cookies out of my house." I chuckle grabbing the cookies.

I get in the car throwing the cookies in the passenger seat. I pull off heading to the city.

What is the moon goddess trying to tell me.What is about Taylor that I need to keep close but I can't hear her. I turn the radio on trying to get her out of my thoughts. After ten minutes,I pull into the parking lot. I get out of the car putting my badge around my neck. I walk in going straight to my department. I say good morning to everyone going to my desk. I plop down in my chair turning the computer on. I go in the drawer pulling out the case file on Dominick Walts.

" Kaine," I look up from the file seeing Tommy.

" I talked to my dad and he had some information on Walts." I put the file on the table " what he say?" Tommy sits on the edge of the desk leaning forward.

" Months before the killing Imani Cress , the head of the assassins, and Walts were there talking to Gabriel. The staff said that she left his office furious shouting that he'll pay for denying her."

" Has anyone thought to talked to her?"

" Im guessing not since they think Taylor killed them," I lean back in my chair.

" Do we know which group Taylor worke for?"

" I can go look," Tommy gets up going back to his desk.

What if Imani framed Taylor for this? She's been running with these girls for years. Anyone else would have wanted an ransome or killed them. What is Taylor involved in?

I pick the file back up looking for Walts address.

" She works for Imani."

" This could be a set up. Knowing what we know." Tommy nods his head.

" Let's tell the captain what your dad said." " Okay," I get up following Tommy. I knock on the open door " captain."

" Yes," he looks up from his computer.

" Tommy has some information."

" What is it?"

" My dad went to McKinnon's house and spoke to the staff a couple days ago. He found out that months before the kill that Walts had accompany Imani Cressthe McKinnon's. She shouted as she was leaving that he'll pay for denying her." The captain leans back in his chair for a second.

" You know that's she is one of the most dangerous assassins and her people are nothing to play with. "

" Yes sir," we said in unison.

" If they were both involved in this together this is going to be a dangerous situation. I'll make a call to the closest police stations around her. I'll tell them to keep an eye out for Walts. If he's been spotted around then I'll send you both to talk to her and scope the area." Captain picks the phone up.

" Okay," we walk out of the office going to Tommy's desk.

" Are we sure about this," Tommy looks a little worried. I look around the room.

" We know that Taylor didn't set this up. We just need to figure out what Imani wanted and why did she send Taylor." Tommy nod his head.

" Let's see if Walts is staying at the address listed on his file." I walk over to my desk grabbing the file and my car keys. We walk out of the station going to my car. " Cookies," Tommy grabs the plate placing it in his lap.

" Who made these?" Tommy takes the plastic wrap off for plate

" Maya," I start the car pulling out the lot.

" You want one?"

" No." Tommy shrugs biting into one. He spits out all over the desk board.

" This taste like pure shit." Tommy whipes his mouth on his shirt. I stop at a red light looking at the mess in the dashboard.

" You better clean my dash."

" I got you." He went into the dash grabbing some hand wipes cleaning the dash.

" What's the address on the file?"

"715 Trent road."

" That's on the other side of the city."

" Yeah, he's on the edge of the wall of the Fall pack's territory. We going to have call the alpha."

" I'll do it. Since well be driving for the next couple hours." Tommy pulls his phone out. I zone out the conversation looking at the road. I stop at red closing my eyes.

Taylor stands in the middle of a field with me and others standing behind her. A group of people stands in front of her. They come running towards her as she crouch getting ready to fight. I try to run forward but I couldn't. I struggle to move as Taylor fight by herself.

" Kaine." I snap my eyes open looking at Tommy.

" The light is green." I put my foot on the gas.

" You need me to drive?"

" No I'm fine. Just thinking of something." Tommy nods his head.
