The chosen one

Chapter 8

I told Tyler everything from start to finish and not only the man but the wolf was angry. Can't blame a man or should I say a wolf for being upset. I found out he is the beta to the New moon pack. I've never heard of them but he tells me they are a small pack in Minnesota. He also informs me that my brother is taking over packs and trying to build an army. Not just wolves but other supernatural beings as well. How he is doing it I'm not sure. Most supernatural beings don't mix well. 

Several days have passed and Jarred has yet to make a appearance but Kevin has shown up daily with food. He always asks Tyler if he is willing to join the cause and he always says no. Well today I'm begging Kevin to let me go and I'm taking Tyler with me. I don't care I want out. 

I'm laying on the ground. It's always cold and wet but I'm use to it. "Ty tell me about yourself."

"What do you want to know?"

"Do you have siblings, a mate, children, have a job or anything." 

He chuckles. "I have one sister who is four years younger then me. I'm thirty. My parents are true mates and they travel alot. I have yet to find my mate and I have no children. I own a construction business."

"What's your sister like."

"Amber is a one of a kind she wolf. She is feisty, out spoken, a hazard to her own well being but very kind and loving. She won't back down from anyone and that includes are alpha. Thankfully they are mates. When most mates see each other for the first time they are all over each other. Well Amber and him fought for days. Eventually they ended mated but the alphas room had to be remodeled. I can't even think about it. Sorry that's my sister."

I started to laugh and the basement door opened. I could smell him. Kevin. He brought two trays of food. 

"Will you join are cause?" He said to Tyler as he placed the tray of food down. 

"No."

"Why? You could get out of this hell hole."

"I'd rather be in this hell hole then join you guys. Your alpha is dealing with black magic and that's never a good thing."

"Then you will die down here."

"So be it."

Kevin started to walk away. 

"Kevin can we talk for a moment."

He stopped and looked at me. "Ya. What do you want Lilly?"

"My freedom. Help me get out kev. Please."

He walked up to my cell and Tyler started to growl. "Down boy" I said. 

"Lilly I can't. If I helped you Jarred will kill me. I have a pup. I'm sorry Lilly." He started to walk away and I grabbed his hand. There were no sparks like I thought there would be. 'He was shasha's mate, not mine Lilly' 

"Kevin please. You guys can come. Don't live in fear Kevin because of him. We can find away to be free and stop him. Please think about it." I let him go and he left. 

"You think he will help us?" Tyler said several minutes later.

"The Kevin I grew up with wouldn't have tolerated this. My brother must have some serious hold on everyone. Only time will tell if he will help us."

-3 days later-

It has been several days since Kevin's last visit but today he finally showed up. "I will help you but we must go now. Jarred has left the pack for a meeting." 

"Thank you Kevin."

"Thank you when we get out of this safely."

He unlocked are cells and we made it out of the dungeon. He leads us to a black suv and we get in. It's pitch black out and not a single pack member in site. Everyone must be asleep. There is a sleeping child in the back seat with me. Kevin starts to drive. My heart is pounding but I'm almost free. Once we make it off pack lands I start to laugh. I'm free Im finally free.
