XAVIER GOT THE last two bottles of beer from the fridge and carried Emmy over to the sofa nearest the front door. She lay with her head resting on his thigh as she told him the story, starting with the shooting at the country club and ending with her fears of a traitor at Blackwood.
“And Georgia knows about the Horsemen.”
That made Xavier take notice. He’d been trying to block out the Horsemen for two years, but now they came back to haunt him.
