Lauren woke up in a strange place. The extreme cold gnawed at each and every strand of her flesh. She groped her forehead, trying to recall what had happened to her. Other than the familiar voice she recognized just before she passed out, she couldn't recall anything else. What she'd heard could not be false. What if her intuition was right? How would she react in that circumstance? She stood up gradually and surveyed the entire space, from the marble floors to the tall ceilings.
