8 Bridging The Gap Mayor Wil Brimly seemed to wilt as he looked at them. He reclined in the mammoth chair that rested behind his desk in the top floor of City Hall, and for a moment Julian thought he was actually going to melt away into the cushions, so badly did he draw in on himself. Brimly was a plump man of average height who was well into his middle years, with a round face and dark hair that was beginning to thin on top and had already gone grey at the temples.
