7 Crime Scene Master Sebastini finished looking at the gash in Jakob's temple and frowned, clearly not liking what he saw. He looked away from the wound, back at Raedrick and Julian, and his expression made Julian feel a little twinge of dread. "It's a miracle he's alive," Sebastini said. He was an old man, older than Horace by a number of years, and thin. He wore the white and yellow of the Healer's Circle, and had been their senior Guildsman in Lydelton for decades. Frail though he looked, Julian knew him to be a tough customer; he had proved that earlier this winter when he went with Julian and Raedrick into the mountains, and met Geoff. "I've seen men killed from lesser blows." Jakob remained on the floor, but at least he was sitting up now and had been since Sebastini arrived
