"Pass the answer sheets two more rounds!" Mr Halls' voice yelled at the 30 students crowded in a medium-sized classroom; his hands pulling out fresh answer sheets from a blue packet. The students had obeyed his instructions with a loud noise which was no surprise to anyone. This caused fury considering the fact the class had been quiet and the papers did not talk. "Some students are hoping to be sent out this instant! They're gonna sob to their moms and moms help no spoiled brat!" He threatened with disdain, passing out the last sheet. Just like magic, there was an instant dead silence. All the students had their eyes fixed on him waiting for the question sheets to begin the exam. He said no word for the next fifteen minutes. Instead, he'd pulled his phone out of his pocket, suddenly startled by an impromptu unfinished business. The students groaned. Disco High was known for its zero tolerance towards laziness and procrastination. The students knew this well enough to figure out something wasn't right. Mr Halls was not one who walked out of the class for no sensible reason. Something had gone wrong, they were sure. He received various awards as the best teacher after all. He couldn't have gotten all those for no reason. Among the restless and slightly worried students was Gina, who'd chosen the middle seat for herself, due to its location between the two class windows. Her eyes had frequently wandered to an empty seat beside her, with her heart racing in worry, citing it had no one on it. "Moni" She'd whispered to her black-haired female friend who was seated before her. The young girl who was about her age, gazed at her with her right brow raised in irritation. "What's it now, Gina? The exam will begin soon" she whined. "I am a bit worried about Williams. He isn't here yet." Moni offered Williams' seat a quick glance. "Perhaps he is stuck somewhere? There is no need to think too much. He always makes it before the exam starts despite being a late dweeb." Gina had her palm slightly bang her locker. "You do not understand. He called up yesterday despite my warning that he shouldn't. I suspect Drake must have harmed him… " Moni's nonchalant face turned perplexed. "Gina, I have no idea what you're talking about. Does Drake know you both… " Mr Hall's entrance back into the class forced a pause in their conversation. Moni's head sharply turned away from her. "Sorry about that. The… " He'd pulled out the question sheets. "...school's transformer had an issue again. We had to get some professionals to fix it. It's a pity Williams is unable to figure it out for us this time." Gina's heart relaxed. Her hands went over her chest slowly with her eyes shut in relief. "We thought he would figure something out at electronics. There is no denial the young boy still has a lot to learn, right Williams? " His gaze was focused on the class entrance this time. Williams Folly made his entrance, gripping his bag's strap firmly. Sweat dripped down his smooth face, causing him to get it wiped with a blue handkerchief. "I tried my best," he responded, returning the handkerchief back to its position. "We know you did, my guy. Go and sit at your spot. Let's get this exam started". Mr Halls handed him a blank answer sheet. Eyes followed Williams as he'd saunted to his seat, ignoring their existence. When he'd sat, all eyes got bored of his sight aside Gina who offered him an apologetic gaze. "I couldn't speak to you yesterday. I am sorry. I was tensed". She apologized, acknowledging her mistake. She'd gotten no response from him, nor had he turned in her direction. Just like other students, he'd seen no point in offering her attention. His blue eyes instead focused on Mr Halls, waiting to begin writing out all he'd read the previous night. "You can begin your paper now. You all have an hour for this. Remember to try your best and leave the rest to luck. If you fail, you fail in peace", Mr Halls said the words he'd wanted to hear. A smile formed on his lips. Moni waved her short hands alerting Gina to an empty spot she'd gotten for them, while she had a few words with Mr. Halls at the caterferia. "I didn't realize you would be in the cafeteria today", Gina said with a grin. " I distaste this place with passion, but… " She smirked. "... it's my favorite spot when it comes to juicy topics." Gina understood what she meant. She pulled out a packet of cookies from her bag. "I am sorry for not telling you about what's going on between Williams and I… " Her best friend had let out a loud hiss. "Stop with this sorry, soft skin. The world hasn't become a better place despite apologies people render every day. You shocked me with the Drake and Williams thing this morning. What's it you aren't telling me? " Gina took a bite of her wheat cookie. "Drake caught Williams speaking with me three days ago. He freaked out badly. He didn't know Williams and I were in love, thank goodness! But he did make an issue out of it and informed his mother" "Woo. That evil cobra… " "She's not a Cobra" " What was the evil cobra's reaction? What had she done causing you to ignore Williams' call? " Moni ignored her previous statement. Gina took another bite of her cookie. "What else could she have done aside from scolding the hell out of me? Since Drake showed so much anger towards my interaction with Williams, they'd thought of organizing a grand wedding for us ensuring all my friends attend and know their limits." "That bull head doesn't even love you!" Moni argued. "What's the need to fight for a loveless relationship when there are hot babes?" " I am his gold mine. His family's wealth can only be controlled by a woman" Moni's eyes widened in shock. "We're talking about real cash here, right? I mean millions and millions of dollars… " "I do not get to keep the cash" Moni let out a hissing sound through clenched teeth. "Divorce that bull head," "They aren't giving me the chance to. I get thousands of threats every day. I have no clue what else to do at this point" "You do. Gina you do!" Moni found no pleasure in her giving up. "Moni, I don't!" "Gina, I swear you do! You're just keeping a closed eye to facts. Williams is right within your reach. You have the chance to elope with him…" The blond-haired teen shook her head promptly, rejecting the plan. "No thanks. I will pass this offer" "Weakling" "Everything doesn't have to end with an insult" "It does from your end because you're such a coward. Williams loves you, you love Williams. You are stuck with a bull head whose parents do not give a damn about you. They are trying to make your marriage official… What else would you need to do at this point aside from elopement? " "I am thinking of my mum here, Moni. Those people might harm her." Since Gina was handed over to The Richards, her mum hasn't surfaced once. There was no doubt she still had lots of resentment in her heart towards her. Aside the amount of hatred her mum might feel for her, The Richard's knew how much she hoped to bond together with her. They wouldn't leave any stone unturn in making her life hell using her Mum. "I have hurt her enough by taking Dad's side" "It's high time for you to start prioritizing", Moni tapped her index finger on the table. "Williams is your most important person at this point. Your love life is at stake here. Elope with him and try to get your mother later… " "These people have affluence. What if things don't work out as planned… " " It will trust me. Just give me the go ahead and I will tell you a perfect plan. I promise it will turn out great" Gina knew Moni's plans ended up in a flop. She'd waved her hands with no interest. "Let it be Moni. It was due to your plan I'd gotten caught with Williams at the football pitch in the first place" "No one ever goes to the pitch during classes. I thought it would be the perfect moment for you to speak with him or do those things you do" "We do not do anything yet Moni. Do not let your mind go too far. And now you know you're wrong about the pitch being deserted during classes. Till this day, I wonder what Drake was doing at school despite the fact he's graduated this year. Why the hall does the principal still call him everyday? " "Gina! listen to this plan and stop talking nonsence. Now is not the time to try and dictate Drake's life for him" Gina slipped the wrapped up cookie back into her bag. " I am going to regret listening to you, Moni." " Just hear this out. It will work, I promise." Gina offered her a nod and whinpered helplessly on hearing the plan. "We will get into trouble after this, Monica. I promise you"
