Louisa rang the doorbell and then stepped back to look around the front of the property while she waited for a response.
From what she had learnt about the Gouldings, specifically that they were closely related to Sir Virgil Foulds, the rich and well-known businessman, she was not surprised that they lived in the largest, and what was clearly the most expensive, property in Oakhurst. Nor was she surprised that the garden at the front of the property more closely resembled a show-piece, of the sort that might be entered in a Britain-in-Bloom competition, than the kind of place a person would spend time to relax.
