Jennie arrived at her home alongside her friends who decided to escort her home since she was in so much pain. Her nanny caught sight of her blow and gasped immediately.
"Who did this to you?" The woman asked with shock.
"Mind your business and do what you ought to do" Dora said rudely heading upstairs toward her room. The woman agreed and rushed off to get the first aid box.
"Will you just let her get away like that?" One of her friends Lynn asked. Jennie shook her head sharply.
"Of course not. Never! I will make her pay" She swore to herself staring at her wound through her small mirror.
"Wow. That girl is really strong. Her pale skin is just a camouflage. Who knew what she could do? She might be a secret martial art instructor somewhere in town or could be running a mafia business" Another said with an impressed look. Jennie threw her an angry stare.
"Will you take her side or try to make me feel better?" She asked furiously.
"I am sorry. I was just saying the fact" The lady apologized.
"You aren't wrong though. There is something about that girl that is odd and i will find out what" Jennie made up her mind with an adamant look. Her door opened up. She stared toward the door and smiled, catching sight of her dad walking in.
"Daddy, this hurts!" She complained, pointing at her wound. Her dad gave the wound a horrified stare.
"Who dares to lay a finger on my precious jewel?" He asked angrily.
"Good question sir. The world has gotten so cruel that there is…" Her friend began explaining but Jennie cut in immediately.
"No one. I had hit my face on the floor while running down the stairs" She lied, giving her friend an angry look. They hadn't expected her to do that.
"Alright if that is the case, be very careful next time. The nanny will attend to your wound. Make sure you call me if you need anything" He told her as he gave her a peck and headed toward the door.
"Won't you stay at home tonight? Mum won't be home either" she asked with an upset look.
"Sorry dear. I have to leave. Work is really important, you know" He informed her with a smile before walking out. As soon as he was gone, Jennie's friends couldn't hold back their confusion.
"Why the heck didn't you tell him what Dora did to you? This can't be kept to yourself. He needs to deal with her" Lynn asked. Jennie twisted her nose.
"This is my fight not dad's fight. I will handle Dora myself and make her a laughing stock. As for dad, he never has the time for me anyway. What would he do? All he will do is send her out of the school and threaten her family. I want something worse than that. I want her to feel the pain i felt"

Dora sat in front of her mirror staring at the tanning cream she had bought in the store two days ago. She never had insecurities about pale skin or her looks till then. She was getting tired of people using it against her. She was getting tired of walking down the street and people asking her if she had not been eating. She was tired of vampire hunters pointing their weapons at her anytime they saw her on the street only for them to bring out a garlic and realise it doesn't affect her. She was getting frustrated by all this endless dramas. Taking a deep sigh, she held the tanning cream in her hands.
"You do not have to do this, Dora" her mum told her walking into her room with the laundry. Dora groaned.
"It's getting too much" She nagged.
"What's getting too much?" Her mum didn't understand.
"The looks, the criticism. They are all getting too much" She explained. Her mum let out a short laugh.
"Just that? Come on Dora, you're just a young girl. You will look different with time, i promise. You just have to see this as a phase" Her mum tried comforting her. "We all know you aren't a vampire, no one has been harmed"
"What if I don't change mum? What if I continue to look this way?" She asked.
"People change Dora. You will definitely go through that. Just don't think too much about it" Her mum advised her with a positive tone. Dora sighed. It seemed she would have to trust her mum now on this one. They had to wait for the change. She would have to wait for her skin to look normal just like any other human skin and not pale… like a vampire.

Naomi gave his long hair a stroke feeling frustrated as he sat on a low hill with his other vampire buddies waiting for a prey to devour. Animals never took that long to jog across the death trap they had laid. The animals must have had an idea about their little plan and decided to follow another trail. Smart beasts.
"We can't keep sitting down here the entire night waiting for an antelope to hop by. What would be our gain if the sun comes up and burns our skin? We are gonna fry to death like a grilled chicken. Was that part of the deal Naomi?" One of the vampires complained, staring up at the sky with a cautious look.
"I knew it was a dumb idea making Naomi the leader" Another complained walking out of their hiding spot finally giving up on their initial plan. Their plan had been for them to stay still until an animal carelessly approaches and falls into their trap slowing him down. The chosen vampire would launch an attack , bite the life off the beast and collect as much blood as he could until it had none left.
The other vampires followed the first already giving up on the plan nagging about how dumb Naomi plan was. Naomi hadn't. He stood still at his hiding spot watching out from the top of the hill as he kept his gaze focused on the trap.
"Naomi, we can go somewhere else man. The animals here have gotten…" Suddenly Naomi signalled him to keep quiet as they heard an antelope gallop from a distance. They all kept shut immediately ensuring the whole place was dead silent. Each of the vampires headed back to their hiding spot with an enthusiastic look forgetting their earlier nagging. The antelope naively galloped happily through the silent cold night toward the trap unaware of it's fate ahead. The more it galloped closer to the trap, the more the vampires smirked with a cruel look. Naomi kept a straight face waiting patiently for the antelope loud cry. Then they heard it. The high pitched cry of agony. The vampires hurried out of their hiding place down the hill, racing toward the antelope. The antelope was down to the ground groaning with pain and whimpering as it stared at them with terror and fright. Its legs were stuck to a bear trap causing it to bleed profusely and lose a lot of blood. While the other vampires congratulated each other rejoicing over their catch, Naomi stared at the antelope with pity and guilt wondering why they had to do this. The antelope gave him a weak stare as if pleading him to help him out and set him free.
"Who is gonna do the biting?" One of the vampires, Ogy asked giving the antelope a stroke on its skin.
"Let me do it. I never get the chance" Another called Xavier volunteered promptly as he headed toward the antelope with his eye change to red, growling and releasing his sharp fangs with a cruel hungry look. As he proceeded to attack, Ogy stopped him sharply, giving Naomi a stare. Naomi hadn't said anything since the antelope was caught. That seemed rude to him.
"Let Naomi do it. This was all his plan after all. He deserves a shot right?" Ogy suggested giving Naomi a tap. Naomi gazed at the antelope with so much reluctance. He shook his head and ordered Xavier to do it. This seemed to have brightened up Xavier's mood. The young vampire gave the antelope a smirk and tried attacking but again Ogy wouldn't let him. Ogy had pushed him to the floor angrily yelling at him to stop.
"Naomi has to tell us why he won't do it. He needs to tell us why he never does it. We always do the dirty work. Naomi does nothing, all he does is initiate the plan and let us do the dirty deed" Ogy nagged furiously as he gave Naomi a painful punch on his shoulder repeatedly. Naomi sharply grabbed hold of his fist while he attempted to give the fourth punch and gave his arm a twist causing him to whelp in agony feeling a sharp pain in his joint.
"I already told you to let Xavier do it!" He bursted out in anger twisting his arm more making the poor vampire cry out in pain. The other vampires pleaded him to stop. He gave Ogy a disdain stare before letting go of his arm. Ogy felt a huge relief after his arm was released from Naomi's grip and signalled Xavier to go ahead with the attack. Naomi didn't want to watch Xavier attack. He picked up his bow and arrow and walked away from the rest immediately heading back toward the village. No one stopped him. No one even liked him anyway because he was different. He was built differently and he wasn't sure why. While he watched the other vampires attack their prey with so much confidence or shared a massive feast of animal carcass, he would watch in disgust wondering why they had to do that. His dad hated him so much for that. All trainings they had tried putting him through never helped. According to them, he was being stubborn and didn't want to unleash the beast inside of him but according to him, he couldn't unleash any beast because there was none inside of him. He was clean and harmless. He couldn't even grow fangs like the others or get his eye color turn red whenever he was angry. The others thought he was stubborn and he had let it stay that way. He hadn't dared to tell anyone...he wasn't a vampire but a human living in the midst of blood sucking creatures. He knew deep in his mind he wasn't going to be safe there for long. He had to find out where he was gotten from.
