CHAPTER 21PRECAUTIONS TAKEN Honorable Williams’s principal residence, his family home, was located on the St. Paul River along with many other Americo-Liberians of inherited wealth. His city house, however, was in Congo Town where many of these same Americo-Liberians lived when they weren’t in their vacation homes or traveling in Europe or North America.
