I left Damian’s house after 11pm. I swerved in and out of cars, making my way back to the hotel. I didn’t really want to come back to this stupid place, but I needed to grab my things and check out of here.
Damian gave me a lecture, saying it was my fault Nìkolai reacted the way he did. I know he’s right, but I just can’t accept it. I had every right to be Val Davis as much as I was Valentina Genovese. I just didn’t want Nìkolai knowing my real identity.
I knew it would just end up like this. Now I don’t have anybody to warm my bed at night.
Oh well I guess.
I threw my keys at the valet and stumbled my way into the hotel. The lobby was pretty empty for a Friday night, but then again it was after 12am.
