Before The first thing Janice did was take another bath that day and when she was done, she checked the mini closet that she had passed while going into the bathroom. Indeed it was filled with clothes her size, the types she likes and even the night wares, they are something she is comfortable in. Means someone did a thorough investigation on her or, her mother gave her out, either way, it has to be one of this way. She picked a pick floral gown that was tailored down to her ankles. If she wasn’t that tall, then she would have been walking and stepping on it, and by the end, she will end up give herself a wound. “What does Javier looks like?” She asked, as she sat down perfectly on the chair, facing the mirror. To fair, she has never set her naked eyes on him. She only saw his hand sketched portraits in the markets up for sell, or when he is making an announcement to the downtown citizens, other than that, there is nothing that she knows about him. And if she is to see him today on the road, then she probably won’t recognize him. “I just he doesn’t bark at me because I will surely bark back.” She hummed against her lips before moving to the bed and laying on her back. She moaned, enjoying the softness of the bed and realizing that wasn’t something she was used to it back at home. The three mattresses in their home isn’t as soft as this, heck she won’t call that soft because it is as hard as a rock and always causes more back pain. But wait, if Javier is treating her this way then there surely must be something bad that he is up to but what? She can’t even think of anything possible because she heard that he is a corny man from Evans. Oh her Evans. Now she is going to miss someone that made her enjoy staying downtown. What is she going to do here? When everyone goes around with a stoic face, even the female maids are inclusive. She also have decided to be stoic to whosoever doesn’t look her way, she doesn’t give anyone a damn, even if that person is no one other than Javier Alvaro. Then her mind drifted to Kazeem from earlier. He had called himself Lord Javier’s twin brother and now that she thought more about it, he does look the person she had been seeing on the paper announcement. Expect, well, this one has a mole down his neck and that hand sketched portrait doesn’t have any, not even a single scar yet Kazeem has almost four scars as she had counted. She won’t want to know what marks is beneath his shirt because she got see the traces of them due to how tight the shirt was on him. “Janice, stop thinking about Javier or his twin brother but think about how to get revenge.” She uttered. The first thing she is do is to find the way her sister was killed and where she was buried because they didn’t get to pay the last rite to her, as her father said someone had done it on their behalf. Then after she is done with all this, she will fight the person behind it, drag him, bring him down and totally crush him into one of them can’t breathe. “I know your soul won’t rest until I bring that person to justice. And I’m willing it, no matter the circumstances.” She vowed, wiping her tears away. Crying, she found herself slowly falling asleep and soon, she wasn’t even moving due to how tired she was, plus she was ordered to rest that much so sleeping at situation is the best. — Faint light penetrated into the room, making it great. She gasped when she noticed that she wasn’t in the clothes that she had worn the other day. She was now wearing a silk sleeping shirt, and a short. “Who did this? Hope it wasn’t a man.” She questioned then her eyes sighted something by the vanity stand. ‘You don’t have to panic because it was a girl that actually changed your clothings and that maid is going to be co worker.’ The note said. Now she doesn’t have to worry about finding out who had changed her clothes and ask them why did they do it? And at the end of the letter, there was nothing for her to do again. She stood up, attempting to make her way out when she noticed the huge clock in the room and it read four in the morning. A yawn left her mouth as she went back to the bed, tucking herself but she doesn’t find sleep. It was as if it had left for good due to how sleep wouldn’t take her, no matter how hard she squirted her eyes at the darkness in the room until she couldn’t do it anymore. She then began to pray, begging for safety and forgiveness from the lord. Asking for help as she embarks on this huge journey that will take a huge step in her life. All she wants is to excel and be declared winner against that one person and one day, she surely won’t. As soon as she was done praying, sleep slowly began to make it way to her face. She yawned again, dragging the blanket more on her body before she finally clamped her together. Then she remembered something she was going deep into the sleep. Her mother, how is it her at the situation she is because she is not sure if she now misses her or just want to know what she is up to. “Oh, I will just write letter to her tomorrow to know how she he and that is all, nothing more.” She voice out. She had never written a letter before and even this time, she is going to ask someone to write it and then she will be the one to send the letter , that’s it.
