Chapter Three

Magena’s Pov……

    The sight of him captivated me, He then shifted into his human form, how can one person be this hot? All I could focus on was his muscles and how they moved. I snapped myself out of the trance his body put on me. He walked to the base of the tree, the voice in my head told me to climb down the tree, but I thought the complete opposite and stayed put in the tree. Then the scent of the forest grew stronger, but it wasn't quite the same….it smelled like the Red Wood forest after some rain. I remembered traveling there when I was twelve, I remembered how the moisture in the air greeted my skin as I stepped out of the car, then the first breath I took in; filling the smell into my lungs and burning it into my memory forever. All I could do was stare at him, even though my body was screaming at me to go to him. I was confused and scared for the first time since the accident, Josh then looked to Andrew and Brayden; they both backed away leaving more space behind josh. Josh then suddenly started climbing the tree, I started to panic then scrambled to the upper limbs of the tree.

    ‘Your running out of tree Magena…’  I tried to push the thought out of my head and kept climbing, but then soon discovered that the upper branches were too thin to support my weight. I looked down the tree at the attacker still in pursuit as he grabbed my leg and said “I wouldn’t climb any further if I were you…” his voice was low and very sexy sounding, enough to make any girl swoon over him and fall for him, but not me… I chuckled softly and replied with a smirk on my face “Oh ya? Watch me.” With that I shook his hand off my ankle and ran down the end of the  branch and jumped off and grabbed the branch of another tree and started climbing up that tree, soon enough he was back on my tracks. I looked down and also saw that Andrew and Brayden were also there, while I was occupied Josh managed to grab my leg and pull me down to him. I yelped and fell practically into his lap, my hands quickly grabbed the upper branches and I started to pull myself up. Josh's arm shoots and wraps around my waist and holds me close to him while saying “Don’t try resisting us anymore, come with us and you won’t get hurt…”

     I felt tingles where his arm is wrapped around me, it felt so good….. But it scared me, I feel so drawn to him but I don’t even know him! ‘Magena get your s**t together!!!’  Josh then tried moving down the tree with me in his arms, I smirk and quickly wrap my legs around his torso and held on to the branches above me. He looked at me with a stone cold face, then in a deep growl he said “You better think carefully about this…” he warned me, somehow that made him ten times more sexy in my eyes. My body ached and finally I untangled my legs from his torso, but he then grabbed my thigh and said “I need to carry you down… and this would probably be the safest way to do so…” He gave me a serious look, a blush crept onto my cheeks, I nod and wrap my legs around his torso, he then guided my arms around his neck gently “just hold on to me okay?...”

    he said to me softly, his expression changing from stone cold now to a soft rested look with a hint of worry hidden in his resting features, he then bites his lower lip before making our descent. Half way down he slipped and fell, I yelped and held onto him tightly, he curled into a ball with me inside with one hand protecting my head and the other grabbing onto the nearest branch. He let out a grunt then looked down to me asking "you okay?" I looked up at him, then gave him a small nod, not sure how to answer him. He nodded then continued our descent while holding me to him, I blushed at his action. As he stepped onto the ground I jumped off and tried to run again but this time I was stopped by a couple of hands on my waist and a sharp pain that was induced by my injury while my ear's were met with another deep low growl “Stop with the games she wolf.” I froze in place, how did he know? Josh then picked me up bridal style, another stab of pain shot through my body; making it go limp in his arms. Concern spread across his face, he then said to the others “She’s hurt, so I'm gonna take her back to Amber’s.” Andrew opened his mouth to protest but Josh cut him off “Andrew, I need you and Brayden to head back to the pack and finish up my duties for the day while I deal with this she wolf.” I heaved a frustrated sigh and said under my breath “This ‘She wolf’ has a name you know…” Josh brought his face to mine where I was met with a smirk “Oh? So the she wolf speaks?” I glared at him, he then added “It would be better if I didn’t know your name anyways.” 

    I was a little hurt by what he said, what the heck is wrong??? I don’t even know this guy and yet his words basically slapped me in the face. Josh looked back at Andrew and Brayden and nodded, they nodded back and ran off to the west. Josh sighed; it was unexpectedly cute, Josh looked down at me and then looked back up and started walking back to Amber’s house. I looked up at him “you do know I can walk right?” He smiles a bit “I do, I also know you can run.” He glances down at me then back up at the trail ahead of us, I sighed and looked at the trees in front of us. The gentle sway of Josh walking and the warmth from the sunlight from the trees made me sleepy, I closed my eyes and cuddled up to Josh's chest. He tensed up a little, but I didn't care. He insisted on carrying me to Amber’s house, he can deal with me being sleepy; after all, I did run from two wolves, scaled a huge tree and continued to run along the branches from a beautiful stranger who is now carrying me back to safety.

Josh’s POV….

She was definitely a sight to behold, but my thoughts kept going to the fact that her scent was still foreign which could be potentially dangerous. Especially with outside clans nearby possibly wanting to expand their borders and clans. While lost in thought I watched the beauty’s body tense, s**t I’ve been staring at her for too long already. I look back at Brayden and mind link him “I’m going to go get her and bring her back down, you and andrew spot for me if either of us fall. But please give me some space so she knows that we’re not going to hurt her.” they both back away leaving some space behind me, as they do so I start to make my way up the tree. That’s when she tries to make a run for it up the tree, I quicken my pace to reach her. Her pace slowed to a halt as she made her way to the top, I grabbed her ankle and growled in my Alpha command voice “I wouldn’t climb any further if I were you…” she looked down at me with those beautiful green eyes, she chuckled and gave a small smirk before saying “Oh ya? Watch me.” with that she broke free from my grip on her ankle and ran down the branch then jumped off the end and landed in the other tree.

 I mindlinked brayden “Don’t let her out of your sight!” With that, both brayden and Andrew bounded over to the next tree where my beauty is hiding. I quickly run and jump off of my own branch to land in the next tree. I  looked  back up to find to Her distracted by Andrew and Brayden, that was when I found my Chance. I leaped and snatched at her ankle, she yelped and fell into my lap, the she wolf's hands shot up quickly and grabbed the upper branches and tried to pull herself up, emphasis on tired. My arm shoots and wraps around her waist without hesitation and holds her close to me while saying “Don’t try resisting us anymore, come with us and you won’t get hurt…” I felt her body tense up as my arms wrapped around her, a wave of titillating tingles exploded on my arms. Every inch of my arm was tingling, the cause of it? The person I held captive in my arms.

    I shook my head to release myself out of the trance I was put under, I finally start pulling her down from the tree with the plan in mind to drag this she wolf all the way down the tree and back to the pack house where she can be questioned. I felt resistance on her part, she suddenly wrapped her legs around my waist, I quickly shot a cold glare at her. I could feel the intoxicating tingles consume my torso and soon to consume my better judgement, I then spoke again in my alpha command voice with an added low growl “You better think carefully about this…” Her face went from smirking in victory to fading to a cold uncertain defeat. she released me from her hold that her thighs held me in. My hand reacted on its own and grabbed the outside of her thigh gently, I then quickly said as it came to mind with the most serious face I can muster “I need to carry you down… and this would probably be the safest way to do so…” A slight blush crept onto her cheeks, she then nodded then wrapped her legs around my torso once more, I then guided her arms around my neck gently “just hold on to me okay?...” She didn't say a word, I look down while biting my lip and begin to make our descent down the tree to the safety of the forest floor below us. About half way down I missed my footing and slipped and fell, the beauty yelped and held onto my neck tightly, I curled my body around her to form into a ball with her inside, using one hand protecting her head and the other grabbing onto the nearest branch. I grunted from the pain from my strained arm, I then looked down to the she wolf beauty asking "you okay?" She looked up at me with her forest green eyes, then gave me a small nod with a unsure look in her eyes. I gave her a nod then slowly continued our descent while holding her closely to me. As made my final step onto the ground she jumped from me and tried to run again, I dashed after her and was able to catch up to her easily I then shot my hands to her waist and held onto her, her body winced in pain, I looked to her side to see her bandages drenched in her blood. I then leaned into her ear from behind and said in a low growl “Stop with the games she wolf.” 

    Her body went stone cold, I took this as the perfect opportunity to pick her up to get her off her feet and to help prevent anymore bleeding from her trying to run again. Her body winced again as she now rests in my arm's; she had a fairly small frame but it made it all the more agile for her fighting strategies, my eyes went back to her wound and concern soon overtook me. I then look up and say to the others “She’s hurt, so I'm gonna take her back to Amber’s.” Andrew opened his mouth to protest, I cut him off “Andrew, I need you and Brayden to head back to the pack and finish up my duties for the day while I deal with this she wolf.”  I mind link him "I need to find out if she will be a threat to us, but i need to do it now while she is exhausted enough to let her guard down."  Andrew nodded, The she wolf heaved a frustrated sigh and said under her breath “This ‘She wolf’ has a name you know…” I brought my face to hers where I smirked at her “Oh? So the she wolf speaks?” She shot me a glare, I then added in all seriousness “It would be better if I didn’t know your name anyways.” 

    I could see the discomfort spread across her face. I looked back at Andrew and Brayden and nodded, they nodded back and ran off to the west. I then let out a sigh and looked down at  the she wolf, I then looked back up and started walking back to Amber’s house with the she wolf in arm. I then hear her grumble “you do know I can walk right?” I let a smile run across my lips “I do, I also know you can run.” I glance down at her then back up at the trail ahead of us, she let out a defeated sigh and looked at the trees in front of us. The she wolf closed her gorgeous green eyes and cuddled up to my chest. My body tensed up a little due to the unexpected movement she made, I then relaxed a bit after realizing she had fallen asleep 'well, my plan didn't work out. but this will make it a lot easier to get her home to Amber to fix up whatever this she wolf did to herself.' I look back down at the beauty now sleeping in my arms 'If all checks out, I might have to make her my own.'
