Kalahari

Kalahari. I took a trip around the classroom. Inspecting the children's work. I'm overjoyed that I've seen some progress in the short days I've been here. The children are self-assured, cheerful, open, and optimistic. They wouldn't even talk to me when I arrived. Some were sobbing for their parents, but now I see them excited to come to school every day. They sent me their sketches before departing for home. I embraced every single one of them. These children are like my own. Their parents have placed their faith in me, and I will ensure that they grow up to be the finest members of society. Molly was the last to go, her embrace was warm and firm, as if she didn't want to let me go. "Is everything all right, Molly?" I inquired of her. She naively nodded. If I see anything isn't right, I'll ask the administration if a social worker can come to her house to make sure she's okay and in a safe setting. " If you ever need anything, please don't hesitate to phone me; if you can't reach me, you are welcome to come to my place." "I am here to help you." "Thank you," she said as she embraced me again. I hugged her tenderly since I could see she didn't want to go home. The bus was nearly ready to go. I accompanied her to the bus, holding her hand as she cheerfully stared at me. As they drove away, I waved. "Is that Molly?" "Who does she live with?" I inquired. "Her mom and her boyfriend, she switches boyfriends every day," Mary, the teacher, said. "Isn't that bad for her and her daughter?" " She's a crack whore." Maya vowed she'd go to rehab the last time they took her. I came out and went back to skiing. She's been in and out of treatment, and the poor kid is on her own. I was taken aback. "How come no one is acting and removing her?" " Her mother is an actress, and she should be adopted." Few families do this here, and foster care is twice as bad for children. I felt terrible for her. I would have adopted her, but I am not a US citizen. There was a knock on the door of the staffroom. " Miss Kalahari, you are required in the principal's office." Jada mentioned this. That is something that no one wants to hear. Mary smiled at me as I gently stood up. I went to the principal's office like I was back in school, terrified that I had done something wrong. I walked in after knocking on the door. She sat in front of the desk, close to an empty chair. " Please have a seat, Kalahari." According to Mr. Crane. I sat down, not knowing what to expect. Did I make a mistake? ?Anna? What exactly is she doing here? Could I have contacted her and said anything hurtful? Mr Crane stood up and went out without saying anything. " Don't be concerned, I come to visit you." "How did you do?" " You were carrying books on how to teach painting in kindergarten. "I assumed you were a teacher at a neighboring school." That makes sense. She seemed to be quite elegant. She's wearing a white top, a navy blue pencil skirt, and a diamond necklace around her neck. I could tell she was quite well-educated. I adored her hair. Her back is well done. auburn hair in a high ponytail " I realize you have a lot on your plate, so I won't take up too much of your time." "I've come to ask you for a favor." "What about me?" I was about to bust out laughing. I am the last person to request a favor, I am not affluent, and I am not even a citizen. I'm just a teacher. " Of course, Kalahari. "I need your help with something." "Of course, go ahead." " My brother is doing a press conference; he is nervous and has cold feet." He needs someone to hold his hand so that he may gain confidence. If he doesn't, he could pee on himself. He might be made a laughingstock by the media." Oh my goodness! What a pity. " Sure, I'd love to." But I don't believe I have something decent to wear to a news conference." "Just wear something that is comfy." Your well-being is critical. There's no need to attempt to wow the media by dressing up like torture machines." "I will consent to this as long as he is convinced that I am OK." " Thank you so much, I truly appreciate it." If that's good, I can send a driver to fetch you up at your flat." "yes, no issue, I reside in Sub Saharan flats across the street from Don's grocery shop." " I got it." Before leaving, we exchanged handshakes. Her aroma was opulent, and it was unmistakably one of those high-priced perfumes. ***************************** I turned around, my gaze fixated on the mirror. I chose a purple gown with a collar neck. It was fantastic. I paired it with black doll shoes. My hair was beautifully braided and placed into a bun on my back. I didn't see the need in wearing makeup since I liked my natural appearance. As soon as I finished, I saw a black Mercedes parked nearby, and I knew it had to be my call. I collected my handbag and exited my room. All taps and doors were checked and secured. I shut and locked the front door. "Good afternoon, ma'am," said the driver. "Good afternoon, sir." I stepped inside the opulent vehicle. My lungs were overwhelmed with the aroma of costly all around the area. The seats were comfortable, and the windows were tinted. I couldn't hear anything outside. I was trembling, not knowing what to anticipate. We arrived to a skyscraper with gleaming windows that reflected the gorgeous skies and light. He brought me to an elevator, and we entered. I was beginning to wonder whether wearing this outfit to a luxury restaurant was a terrible choice. Everything seemed to be elegant and polished. I resembled the church girl who collects contributions on Sundays. As I looked around, he brought me to an office with incredibly clean white walls. The floor is covered with dark marble tiles. I was in an other planet. The realm of the wealthy. "This way, please," he said as he led me to a room. There was a sofa, a table, and a candy bar inside. "Feel free to have anything you like, and if you need help, don't hesitate to call using the phone on the desk," he said. "Thank you." I took a peek around the room. It's unmistakably a waiting room. The enormous window greeted my gaze with a ten-city panorama. It was breathtaking. The city seemed to be in paradise. As terrifying as we were, I enjoyed the landscape below me. The kids would be overjoyed to see this. I got out my phone and took a photo. I'll produce a card for each of them using this layout. They will be overjoyed. I heard sounds and fought to get my phone back inside my handbag. The door slowly opened.
