I opened the letter from Thermally and I somehow felt disturbed. Thermally’s words were serious and seemed urgent. So, I left Beta Gani inside my Alpha’s office to meet Thermally at our usual meeting place. I got inside my car and drove fast, out of our pack’s village.
When I reached our favorite cafeteria in the urban area, I parked my car in the parking area beside it and walked toward its main door. As I entered the cafeteria and walked inside, I felt everyone suddenly became silent. It was as if I was an angel who passed by them. Then, I saw Thermally settled on the same table we usually occupy at the far-end corner of the cafeteria. In front of her was already a mug of aromatic mocha coffee.
