Adamantem’S POV
I slept I guessed for long hours since when I woke up I noticed the darkness outside of the window of the guestroom I was staying. There was already a set of food on top of my side table.
I suddenly felt the growling of my stomach and without any shame, I took the fork and spoon and gobbled the sauteed meat and vegetables, mashed potato, one big apple, and bottoms-up the strawberry juice inside a tall glass.
Exactly when I put down the emptied glass, the guest room door opened.
“How are you, Miss Adamantem?” a baritone voice filled my ears. The Beta of the Golden Valley Pack came inside my room smilingly.
“Hello, Beta, I am fine. I am just wondering how I ended up in this room," I replied while returning his smile.
