Chapter Nineteen: That night, the milk and ale flowed freely. The villagers came and went from the tiny tavern she’d called home for… the past five days. Her time in this sleepy town seemed much longer. The celebration carried on into the night. Mostly, the party remained centered around the Happy Harpy, but nothing stopped the residents from moving freely about the village. Now, several hundred people milled about, free from the fear they’d suffered for so long. Revelers had sacked the temple, anything of value now long gone. Her possessions never showed up. She was accustomed to starting over. That was her lot in life. The loss of her fighting sticks would need to eventually be explained, but that worry could wait. She needed a refill. Toady’s doors remained open, with no one inside
