Chapter Eighteen:Fila asked, “We?” Va’lery remained alone and defiant in the center of the yard. “Me and my friends.” If Fila used the rod, the child would be turned to stone where she stood. “Away with you, child, or I shall add you to my collection of pretty stone works.
