Chapter Five

*Leah's POV*

I feel Wyatt move underneath me and place my head on the pillow. I miss him the second I feel the door close to the bedroom. I am not sure how thick the doors are or if it’s because this is the Alphas room, but I cannot hear anything through the bedroom door. Not even with using my wolf hearing. All I hear is muffling. Then all goes silent. I knew then that he must have had to go take care of pack business. Thankfully I was able to fall back to sleep shortly after he leaves.

I am not sure how much time had passed but I hear something like a door opening and smile thinking it is Wyatt coming back to me. I feel the bed move beside me but then realize the scent is all wrong. My eyes dart open to see someone I do not know I go to jump up, but someone grabs me from behind and places a rag around my mouth and nose. Wolfsbane is in it. I try to summon my powers but the wolfsbane takes over and everything fades to black.

I’m cold. My head feels heavy, and I don’t remember much. Slowly the events that unfolded come back into my head. I remember feeling the bed move beside me and then wolfsbane being put over my mouth and nose. I raise my head and blink a few times to take in my surroundings. I am in a cell and there is a chain around my ankle. Where am I? Why was I brought here? I notice my head is pounding and then I notice the wolfsbane hanging all around me. I wouldn’t be able to summon any of my powers even if I tried to. The mind link to my brother isn’t working either. I am helpless.

I hear snickering in the background and look towards the noise. "Who is there? Why am I here? Do you have any idea who I am?"

Quickly there is a man beside me who backhands me. "You have no right to be asking any questions. You can blame that Alpha of yours for being here. He took our Alphas daughter and refuses to give her back, so we took his Luna."

"I am not even his Luna yet. I have no idea what is going on, but if you release me, I can guarantee you I can return your Alpha's daughter."

"It's too late for that. He will get his daughter back and still keep you around so he can put your Alpha through the same pain that he has gone through."

"You have no idea who you are holding captive. I am a royal wolf of the Midnight Moon Pack. My family will come looking for me and it won't be pretty for anyone if you do not let me go."

"A royal wolf you say. We are a long way from your family considering I have never heard of your pack. We have even taken you far away from your mate that he will struggle to find you. I suggest you get comfortable while you’re here. The Alpha will be here to see you shortly." He says as he closes the cell door behind him.

Silence feels the room. I suddenly feel lost and empty. My whole life has been filled with freedom and love. Now in the last couple days I have found my mate, someone who is fractured and filled with darkness, now I have been kidnapped. I should have just listened to my mother when she told me not to leave. I knew though if I had listened, I wouldn’t have found my mate. There is a reason why mates are destined to be together and a reason we find each other. I just have to wait and find out what my purpose is in all of this.

I hear keys unlocking the cell and a man steps in. "Glad to see you are finally awake. Welcome to your new home. This is the Blood Oath Pack. You are going to make a great addition to our slaves."

The blood drains from my face. I have heard of this pack before. "Your pack is known at the most vicious pack of your area. I have heard of you. If I know of you then I am sure you know of my family and the hell they will raise on you if you do not let me go."

He lets out a laugh. "Your family doesn’t scare me; besides I doubt they will find you with how far you are and because of how well hidden we have kept our pack over the years. I don't mean to bring you into this, but your mate left me with no choice. He deserves the same torment I have gone through the last six months since he took my daughter."

"How did you even know I was his mate? I just found out myself."

"We have someone on the inside that gives us information. Something a lot of packs don't know is how we have spies in their packs. Don't worry, your pack is not one of them. It is only the nearby packs that we keep spies at. I can't have my enemies taking me by surprise. Your mate has an interesting past since his last mate died. Unfortunately, now you are caught in the middle now."

Trying to hold back my tears I look up at him. "What are you going to do with me?"

He gives me a devil like smile. "You are going to be my sons’ personal slave. Don't worry it’s not going to be permanent. Just long enough to get my daughter back and put your mate through the same pain as I have gone through. So, you will be in debt to me for about six months after getting my daughter back."

Before I can speak someone comes in behind him. He is wearing a white jacket; I assume he is the pack doctor. He has a needle in his hand. He gives me a smile and comes up next to me. I move away from him. The Alpha joins him and grabs my arm, allowing the doctor to inject me with whatever is in the syringe. I immediately feel the burning and realize it is wolfsbane.

The Alpha releases me and lets me fall back into the wall behind me. "Every day the doctor will come to you to give you a daily dose of wolfsbane. This is for the safety of my pack. It keeps you docile, away from your wolf, mind links and your powers. If you fight us on it will result in, you are coming back to the cells without food and water for a few days or it will cause your death. You do not want to be on my bad side. Do not think about trying to run. Our pack lands are surrounded by electric fences and guards are posted at every entrance and exit. Since you cannot shift you will not stand a chance."

He removes my chain and helps to steady me on my feet. My legs sway back and forth. The wolfsbane in my system is to make me his perfect servant which is exactly what he wants. I feel helpless.

The Alpha leads me out of my cell and outside. It is daytime now. He leads me to a parked SUV and a woman steps out. He speaks to her. "Take her to get cleaned up and make her presentable to my son. He shall be ready to meet her within the hour." He passes me to her, and she gets me into the truck to a destination unknown.
