I woke in the morning to the sun shining thro making me warm, when I hear the front door opening.
"Sky, did we hear that or was it just me?" I asked her.
"No, someone just entered the house!" She answers me with a warning growl. I slip from the bed grabbing my silver dagger from my bag. I unsheathed it and went on to the upstairs landing. It’s all open planned with just a banister around the edge, leaning over to catch sight of the front door. I can see a young lad with his back to me. I don't recognise the scent, so I go on the attack. Leaping over the banister, landing behind the attacker I bring him to his knees, Fast! With my dagger pressed to his throat. I can hear the hiss from the silver.
