Chapter 11: “Chew both gotta sit up front… I got a load in the back.” Alleye landed the car right where she had dropped them off. The sun had set, and the moon hung high in the cloudless sky. With the park now closed, there were no witnesses about. The silver light of the moon cast bizarre shadows of the leafless trees. Something about the night affected Kennedy. There was a time she spent a good portion of her life lurking from shadow to shadow. They grew strangely foreign to her. Kennedy hesitated.
