Vance finds Thea out near the pond. He actually had to go to the effort of sniffing her out and she is in such a strange place. There is no way he can make it seem like an accident. He is actually thankful that he didn't get a chance to see her yesterday, so he can use the excuse of seeing if she needs anything.
He really thought after the run they shared the other night that she would have looked for him, but she seems indifferent about the whole thing. The night ended after just the run. It was so pleasant for him, yet maybe it was run of the mill for her. He has no idea about her background at all. He hasn't thought to ask thus far, because before, it didn't really matter. But if he is serious about this, serious about making her his life partner. Then he has got a dig a little deeper
