Olima finally got a cab and entered it, paying the driver who drove her back to their residential estate, where billionaires and high-profile families lived. Upon arriving in front of the estate gate, she quickly paid the cab driver and rushed back inside, running home speedily. The estate security guards wondered what was chasing Olima, as they knew her to be a beautiful young lady who usually ran errands on foot after her parents passing. Olima finally approached the mansion gate and banged heavily on it. Nathan quickly came to the gate from within, pulled it open, and stared at her face. "Why are you banging on the gate like that?" Nathan asked her. Although he liked Olima, he couldn’t cross boundaries with her, knowing she was the daughter of his former boss. "I'm sorry, sir. Please open the gate quickly," Olima replied, and Nathan stepped aside to let her in. Olima rushed into the house and approached the mansion's front entrance. The luxurious mansion was painted white and adorned with beautiful flowering plants. Nervously, Olima approached the door leading into the living room, knocked, and opened the door, walking into the parlor. Mia was still in the living room, watching television. As Olima stepped in, her brown eyes automatically fell on the huge wall clock, and she saw it was 8:30 p.m. Without being told, Olima rushed into the kitchen to prepare dinner, knowing her stepmother would soon come out and punish her for wasting so much time in the market and arriving home late. She hurriedly took out the vegetables she had bought, washed them quickly, and unhooked the dried fish, soaking them in a bowl. Olima quickly cut the meat into smaller pieces, washed them neatly, and switched on the gas cooker to start cooking the meat first. With every second ticking away, she became sweaty as she hurriedly cooked the soup. She jumped in fright as she heard the kitchen door slide open. "What took you so long to get home? I'm hungry," Mia said as she walked into the kitchen, approaching Olima, who was turning and tasting the soup to see if she needed to add more maggi or salt. "Taste it first. Is it okay?" Olima asked Mia, extending a big spoon to her right hand for a taste of the soup. Mia also didn’t know how to cook. She opened her right palm while Olima dropped a few drops of the delicious soup into it. Mia wanted her mother to discipline Olima and said, "It lacks salt. Add more salt." Olima frowned as she tasted the soup again and replied, "It's fine like this." Mia frowned, grabbed the salt container, opened it, and poured more salt into the soup. "Mia!!" Olima screamed just as her stepmother walked into the kitchen. Olima quickly shut the pot of soup, lifting it off the burner, as she still needed to prepare the semovita they would use to swallow the vegetable soup. "What's going on here? It's after 9 p.m., and you're still cooking the soup?" Mrs. Gina questioned as she entered the kitchen. "No, madam, I'm almost done," Olima replied, quickly pouring water into a new, empty pot to start preparing the semo while Mrs. Gina questioned Mia, "And you, what are you standing there doing?" "Mom, I'm hungry," Mia replied, stomping her feet on the ground as she walked up to her mother. "Go sit at the dining table; the soup will be ready soon," Mrs. Gina stated. Mia frowned and said, "Olima, be quick, please." "Okay," Olima nervously replied as she saw her stepmother and stepsister leave the kitchen. She gasped, "Phew!" As she finished cooking the semo, she wiped her sweaty forehead with her light blue gown. She served the semo, not wanting to anger her stepmother and stepsister. Quickly, she dished out their soup into smaller plates and trays, carrying them to the dining room. Mia sat at the dining table across from her mother, waiting, while Mrs. Gina adjusted her seat to start eating. Olima nervously walked to the dining table and set the tray of food down. She served her stepmother first and then served her stepsister, making sure Mia's soup and semo were properly placed in front of her. The dining table was silent. Olima rushed back into the kitchen to get her stepmother and stepsister some bowls of water to wash their hands. She hurried back to the dining room to serve it to them. Mrs. Gina washed her hands first in the different bowl of water, and Mia washed hers next. Olima asked her stepmother, "Ma, do you need anything else?" Mrs. Gina frowned and finally said, "No. Go eat your food." Just then, Mia gasped, "Mom!" "What is it?" Mrs. Gina glared at her daughter for screaming her name, and Olima paused to look at Mia as well. "The soup is bitter," Mia said, making Mrs. Gina frown. Although Mrs. Gina hadn’t tasted the soup yet, she dipped her index finger into it to try it. Her face contorted in irritation as she stood up harshly from the dining seat and questioned, "Olima, what’s the meaning of this?" Mrs. Gina moved away from her seat, and Olima took two steps back, stammering, "Ma... I..." "What? Did you even taste the soup?" Mrs. Gina roared angrily. Olima shuddered and stammered, "Ma, I did... Mia added more salt to the soup, and..." [SLAP] Mrs. Gina landed a hot, resounding slap on Olima's left cheek, then approached her, dragging her to the dining table and forcing her to taste the soup. "Taste it and eat it. See how bitter it is. Did Mia help you cook it?" Mrs. Gina questioned. Olima cried and tried to explain. [SLAP] Mrs. Gina landed another hard slap on Olima, starting to beat her while Mia smiled viciously. "You witch! You killed your parents, and now you want to kill my daughter and me!" Mrs. Gina yelled at Olima. "Please, mother, I'm innocent! I didn’t touch Mia!" Olima begged. "Shut up! Get out! I don’t want to see your ugly face in this house again. Nathan!!" Mrs. Gina shouted. "Yes, madam," Nathan rushed into the mansion. Mrs. Gina commanded, "Throw this witch out!" "No! Mother, please... No!! I didn’t spoil the soup..." Olima tried to plead with her stepmother. But another hot slap landed on her left cheek. "One more word from you, and I will have you arrested tonight, witch. Nathan, throw her outside and never let her back into this mansion again!" Mrs. Gina commanded. Nathan grabbed Olima by her arms and dragged her out of the living room, throwing her out of the billionaire family duplex mansion and onto the street at around 10 p.m. Mia smiled victoriously, and Mrs. Gina felt triumphant that the billionaire mansion now belonged to her after succeeding in getting rid of Olima's parents to acquire her father's company and assets. They stepped out to see if Nathan had sent Olima away.
