CHAPTER SIX
RAK’S POV
The back of my head hurt like hell; something much more than a hangover but the bed felt wonderfully soft and not to mention the rather, sexy masculine scent drew me in. I would have let myself probably sleep some more if Dean’s annoying voice had not suddenly filled the room. Usually its not annoying but if you wake up with a bloody hangover, any noise could be easily deemed annoying.
“Listen, he was not in his right mind and I know he’ll be-Darleen? Darleen?” He called then suddenly cussed before adding, “Why am I the only paying for this brat’s mistakes? Why the bloody hell-“
“Come om, quit with the grumbling,” I groaned, my eyes still very much closed tightly. I just needed a couple more minutes, possibly hours, so I could finally feel better.
The covers were suddenly yanked off me, my eyes shooting open and right into Dean’s glare. He was one to rarely show emotions. This meant only one thing; something must have happened.
“Why are you looking at me like that?” I questioned, feeling a little dreadful.
“I don’t know. Where would you like for me to start?” He thundered.
My mind reverted back to yesterday. I’d drunk cocktail and then we’d met those two guys in the V.I.P room. The Lamon guy hadn’t been a fun of me which totally okay with me whatsoever and Dean’s guy had given us some pills. They hadn’t hit for a while and then-
“Why can’t I remember anything?” I questioned, panicking.
“Then let me gets you up to speed. So what do you last remember?”
My mind flashed back as far as possible.
“I need you to listen to me,” Lamon paused, looking he wanted nothing else than to be out of here, possibly doing some other meaningful things, “In a few minutes, you are going to throw up but that won’t make the effects go away. As a matter of fact, instead of an hour of ecstasy, you are going to be high for six hours and you are going to wake up with no memories of tonight. Its kind of like getting roofied. Do you understand anything I’m saying?”
“Then I think I told him something about him getting off on hating people,” I sat up, the hangover completely forgotten, “Did I do something…horrific?”
“Well, you threw up after that and we thought you were better since you were suddenly calm. So, Tawan and I got a little bit busy and during that time you walked out of the room. By the time we realized you were gone, it was too late. You had thrown quite the spectacle,”
“W-What do you mean spectacle?” I questioned. I was not sure I liked where this was going. It was already scary enough that I couldn’t remember anything.
“Let’s see. You freaking not only confused Lamon for Darleen but put a ring on his finger and kissed him,”
My brain went totally empty for a moment, then his words slowly took form in my mind, a slow interpretation of it dancing inside it.
“What?” I mumbled, knowing this was definitely some sick joke. It had to be.
“You are possibly now engaged to Lamon and you kissed him in front of quite a huge group of people but that’s not the point. Someone filmed it after recognizing you. Darleen has called off the wedding and her family has given a statement to the press that-“
“I kissed…Lamon? A man?” there was no way I would have done that. Maybe this was some last minute prank Ken and Dean were pulling up on me.
“No, a kangaroo. Of course you kissed a man. Now can we skip to the part where your fiancée’s family issued a statement saying that you and Darleen had actually called it off prior all this? The poor girl had to stand before the press, lying to them in their faces. She told you to follow your heart and embrace who you are,”
“Wait, she did what? But that is not-“
“I don’t think you are ever getting her back dude. But do you want to know what’s even worse than this? You just had to mess with Lamon. Apparently, he is not just some rich club owner,” he glanced around, almost as though he was afraid someone could hear him, “He is the leader of a mafia group here in Bangkok and now not only are we stuck in his house, but he has your passport and Visa as well,”
Wait, double what?
