Leah froze in her spot her mind not seeming to process the words she’d just heard.
“For heaven’s sake Loretta! You know you’re not supposed to speak of such incidents within these walls. What if she hears you?” Gerald whisper yelled at Loretta. The man’s worries had already bore fruit because Leah heard them.
