She’s his enemy. He was sent to capture her but yet there was no denying the attraction he felt for her.

Asher is a werewolf who’s wanted nothing more than to meet his mate.

The only thing that came close to rivaling his urge to meet his mate, was his thirst for revenge. Revenge against the man who killed his family.

What happens when the one person he’s craved to meet the most is allied with the one he hates the most? Will he push his feelings for Leah aside and chase his revenge or will he choose his love over a century long hatred.

***Excerpt***

She shakily sat up, her torn up top and b*a falling to her sides like a jacket. Leah closed the distance between them, kneeling in front of him with her face inches away from his rigid length.

He watched the movement of her throat as she swallowed and he did the same, his mind wandering with indecent thoughts.

“What are you doing, Leah?” He asked breathily, his hand still slowly stroking his length, directly in her face.

“You said you wanted to have your c*** in my mouth,” she started, her eyes never once leaving the engorged head. “do it.” That commanding tone in her voice did something to him but he couldn’t explain it.

“Are you testing me right now? Because I’m holding myself back by a very thin thread right now.”

She forced her gaze away from his length to meet his eyes before she ran her tongue over the tip.

“Do I look like I’m joking?”

1. Asher Wolfe
‘No worries, I can handle a small female no qualms. You have nothing to worry about.’ Those were the words that had left Asher’s lips the day before when Vanna had briefed him on his mission. At the time, he’d simply thought the queen was overreacting. What a fool he had been at the time to believe that he could handle this female. Small as she was, he was no match for her. His target sent a sideways kick in his direction and he was quick to block the hit with his forearm. An action he quickly regretted once he felt the bones in his arm shatter. The pain was excruciating and he cursed out under his breath, stumbling backwards on his feet. While he cradled his injured arm, the small female in question landed another brutal kick in his gut, knocking all the air out of his lungs and sending his body flying backwards and crashing into a concrete wall. The wall shattered on impact, his body falling weakly on the pile of rubble. Damn, some of his organs were definitely crushed he could tell even though he couldn’t feel any pain. Ah! Was it a good thing that he couldn’t feel anything? That sounded kind of bad. This was pathetic. Look at him getting schooled by a female who was barely up to his pec in height. While he stood battered and bruised, she stood completely unharmed and it wasn’t just because she completely outmatched him in strength. That was partly the reason but it was mostly because he couldn’t find it in himself to raise a hand against her. He was definitely not expecting his day to go down like this today. What he’d assumed to be a simple mission was turning out to be something else entirely. The small blonde or partially blonde haired female approached him, her face -stained with blood- devoid of any emotion while a blood coated katana sat casually in her hand. The same blade she’d used to cut down the other wolves that had come here with him. She stood above him like a reaper ready to claim a soul, with eyes full of intent. Was this the end? Was he really about to die at the hands of this beautiful female? Honestly it wouldn’t be a bad way to go down, the last thing he would see before he parted would be her gorgeous green eyes. Screw this! He’d imagined so many scenarios where he would meet his mate but this, this wasn’t one of them. How on earth did he even get here?! A Few Hours Ago Asher sat in the lounge area of the noisy club with a beautiful blonde Nymph straddling his thighs. Their lips were locked, his large hands planted on her generous bottom as she grinded herself against him. Looks like he would be having some fun tonight. The Nymph on him was a beauty, but then again so were all other Nymphs. They wouldn’t get partners to sleep with them if they didn’t have captivating appearances. Her body was erotic, a generous chest, a narrow waist and a very large bum- his favorite asset. He couldn’t wait to have her on all fours whilst he relieved his l**t inside her. Ah wait! He was supposed to be on chaperone duty today. It completely skipped his mind that he’d come here with Darion. In the first place, he was only here because he wanted the uptight demon to live life a little. Dion completely dumped his brother on Asher to watch over while he spent time playing house with his mate. He turned away from the Nymph briefly to glance at the demon and a smirk spread across his lips. The so called uptight plaxus demon had a female plopped on his thigh. She ran her clawed fingers across his chest while Darion simply stared up at her looking enthralled, eyes dark with l**t. Who could blame him though? He had a gorgeous succubus caressing him. Many males, mortal and immortal alike, would kill to be in his position. From the looks of it, not even Darion could resist that temptation. Ordinarily he would have been worried about the demon but the female on him was a friend and Asher trusted she would take good care of the demon. Well, rather than ‘take care’ of him, she at least wouldn’t hurt him or rob him and that was what really mattered. Though he couldn’t guarantee that she wouldn’t ‘use’ Darion to fulfil her needs. She was a succubus after all. ‘I’m the baby sitter because I’ve got no mate. That damn arsehole Dion.’ His mood dimmed a bit as he remembered he was still yet to meet his fated one. Centuries of waiting and he was still yet to meet that one female fate had laid out for him. No one wished to meet their mate more than he did so how come even that arsehole Dion, a former manwhore like Asher, found his fated and Asher hadn’t. Fate was cruel. The female in his arms was long forgotten until he felt her lips graze his neck. Asher stopped her immediately, pulling her away from him by her neck. How irritating. No one but his mate was allowed to leave marks on his skin. He’d kept to that rule for as long as he could remember. Already his arousal dwindled and he quickly lost interest in taking her to bed. “No marks.” He grit out and she tensed, probably frightened by the change in his voice. Asher wasn’t an aggressive wolf. Unlike the majority of his brethren, he had a good grip on his temper but there were few things that could rouse his anger and this Nymph had so casually done one of them. It probably sounded ridiculous, that he would go as far as bedding women but never let them mark his skin. To Asher, even if he couldn’t keep his virtue for his mate, he could at least reduce the intimacy of his encounters. The males in his pack constantly made jest of his ‘rule’ especially because Asher was considered a man whôre. Of course Asher wished he could keep himself for his mate, but the instincts were not something so easily controlled. Fighting it would be detrimental for his mental health. The only reason he was able to control his temper better than most was because he blew off steam often. “You’re no fun.” The Nymph said with a pout and then a sigh. “Fine, no marks.” She reluctantly agreed, giving in. Already Asher had lost the mood to carry on but maybe she could get him back in the mood. Her lips met his once again as her hand trailed down his chest, lightly grazing a n****e in the process. He shuddered at the sensation but did his best to act unaffected. It didn’t take much to turn him on again, how pathetic. Well whatever. He grabbed the back of the Nymph’s neck and deepened the kiss, his other hand slowly making its way back to her bum. The sound of a phone buzzing interrupted their session. The vibration he felt on his thigh, told Asher it was his phone that rang. Was his ringtone always this loud? Why now? He pulled away from the kiss and stabbed his hand into the front pocket of his trousers, trying to dig the phone out. It was somewhat difficult with the woman currently straddling his thighs. “Ignore it.” She tried to persuade him, holding the hand that searched for the phone and leaning back towards his lips. She must’ve seen the irritated look on Asher’s face because she backed away. An equally irritated look soon crossed her features as she glared at him. “f**k this.” She cursed as she removed herself from him and stormed away. Asher heaved out a frustrated breath as he watched her walk away. So much for a good night. The phone had ceased its buzzing and now he was just annoyed. “Well that’s a first.” A voice declared from behind him with a chuckle. Asher turned back to find, Kali staring down at him with amusement shining in her dark eyes. “I’ve never actually seen you lose a catch before.” “I’m not in the mood right now, Kali.” Asher grit out in an attempt to get rid of her but of course it was never that easy with the vampire. “Oh don’t be like that, I can keep you company if you want.” She suggested, her fangs peeking out with the devious smile she had on her face. She casually brushed her dark hair behind her ear, a move she usually made when she was on the hunt. Kali was a female fully aware of her charms and didn’t hesitate to use them to get what she wanted. Asher had known her so long, he could read her like an open book. “What? You got rejected and now you’re coming to me.” Asher smirked when her smile faded into a look of irritation. Kali heaved out a sigh and turned to face Darion and the succubus. “I guess some losses are inevitable.” “Still hurts your ego doesn’t it.” Asher pointed out. The succubus that had captivated Darion was Kali’s best friend Aria. The pair made a game or rather competition of winning over certain targets that stepped into the club. Today’s target just so happened to be the plaxus demon and it ended with Kali’s loss. “Of course you would know much about wounded egos.” Kali retorted. They both openly stared at the couple in front of them, completely oblivious to the gazes on them. Asher briefly shot her a glare at her comment before returning his gaze back to the demons. “One Nymph walking away from me isn’t enough to hurt my ego.” It was enough to get him in a pissy mood though. “Aye aye, whatever you say.” Kali rolled her eyes. She made a terrible attempt at a British accent, clearly mocking the way Asher spoke. It wasn’t anything new to him as even Dion tended to do the same sometimes. “I was serious when I said I’m willing to keep you company though, what about it?” “No thanks, Kali.” “You’re not really going to turn me down too, are you?” She said with a pout. Like that facade would work on him. “Kali I know you. And I know you like to bite so no thanks.” He knew because they’d shared a bed once before. Personally he wasn’t a big fan of getting bit despite some folks getting off on it. He’s never understood the appeal of a vampire’s bite. “Come on, don’t be stingy. I haven’t had Lycan blood in a while.” She insisted. “Not my problem.” She made a ‘tch’ sound with her mouth then muttered something along the lines of ‘stingy mutt’ but said nothing else. Just then, Asher’s phone began to ring again. He fished the phone out with much annoyance and pressed accept without even looking at the caller ID. “What is it?” He asked in annoyance. He lost his lay for the night because of this person’s call. “Seems I called at a bad time.” Asher tensed and straightened in his seat as soon as he recognised the voice on the other end and regret quickly washed over him. “Ah Vanna, I didn’t know it was you.” He said softly this time, praying to the gods that she would ignore his earlier tone. “Don’t worry, I have no time to scold you right now.” Right now, he noted. So a scolding was eventually due. “I need you back at the pack house, I have a mission for you.” “I’m currently on a break.” No way was he about to just let his holiday end like that. Going back to the pack meant work and that was the last thing he wanted. “It’s important and Its related to him.” Asher froze up, knowing almost immediately who Vanna was referring to. Him being the person Asher loathed the most in this world. The one responsible for the death of his family. Caspian Armstrong. The man Asher had sworn his life to kill. “Looks like that piqued your interest.” Vanna pointed out when Asher remained silent. “What happened?” Asher asked seriously. “It’ll be easier to tell you in person. Just come to the pack house and I’ll enlighten you on everything.” Though extremely curious, Asher didn’t try to pry. He would find out everything the moment he returned. Looks like he’d be returning home a lot earlier than planned. “Alright.” A beep sounded, informing Asher that she’d hung up the call.
