1. Punished

857 Words
Dread gripped him stiff as Alpha Ragnar battled to drag himself through the bushes. A knot of anxiety settled in his stomach after listening to his son's voice, Jake. He was just Nineteen Years old. And tonight was some sort of party that he had gone to attend with his other friends. He had told his father he would be late and won't return until the next morning. He was assumed to be there at the party, but his voice which just echoed in the dreadfully silent Aiden Hoc forest clutched his heart into a pumping mess as it beat rapidly. Alpha Killian, despite the unnerving feeling sitting on his skin and the bad thoughts clouding his mind, ran through the bushes in his super duper speed and followed the direction where Jake's voice had come from. As he advanced further to the source of his voice, his nostrils caught his scent alongside a pungent smell of something decomposing. He held his breath as it became stronger with his every step taken further. And finally after what seemed like a suspenseful moment, Alpha arrived at the spot. His eyes incredulously narrowed when they fell on his son! "Who the f**k told you to come here?" Rather than looking at the ground that had an awfully decaying body, he tightened his mouth into a thin line and threw daggers at his son. And rather than being terrorized by his father's dark gaze stilling at him, Jake passed him a 'you know I don't need anyone's permission before I go anywhere' kind of expression and sat down on his toes examining the decaying corpse.  "I went home fifteen minutes ago but then mom told me you were here." He replied, his eyes scanning at the cloud of smoke gushing out of the bones and melting flesh which was left of the body. "You shouldn't have come here, Jake. This is not any joke." Alpha Ragnar gritted his not because he was angry with his son because he was not ready to listen to him.  Jake showed literally no interest in his father's words but continued to gawk at the melting dead body.   "Acid, whoever he is, has been showered with acid. Ugh, this is— disgusting!" he couldn't find any other word to describe it.  Jake twisted his mouth. The sight of bones creeping through the melting flesh amidst blood, churned his stomach. He was brave and bold like his father, but looking at a corpse that was tortured to death by using acid as a medium sounded so severely painful. The person must have had an agonizing end. The worst thing about it was that his skull was visible beyond the layer of his partially burnt skin. The circles where the eyeballs had been there had now transformed into two small pools of blood with tiny chunks of flesh in them.... Which has to be the unmelted portion of the eyeballs. Even his organ, they were tangible through the melted suit of his skin. From his half melted heart to his intestines— he noticed everything.  Jake was interested in inspection. He was curious to know who the person was and how they got here. However, before he proceeded any further with his 'spy' mode on, his father grabbed him by the back of his neck and pulled him up.  His dark eyes indicated his disapproval and disappointment. He had always been proud of Jake until today. Visiting a place like this— that was supposedly a hideout for an old enemy now, was not appreciated. He showed it through the looks on his face. And the fear that sat on his cheeks, spoke of some old scars and painful memories.  Having no idea why his father was giving him that kind of look, Jake blinked his eyes nervously. He always had seen him give this look but never got the chance to ask him why. But it seems like today was the perfect chance.  He was about to part his lips and speak but Alpha interrupted him, "Your bloody ass will be punished for taking your Alpha for granted."  "But dad,"  "I am not your dad for now."  "I just came here to hel—"  "... To have some fun." Alpha Ragnar completed it for his son with a raise of his eyebrow.  And the way Jake looked away with a 'I am caught' type of look, it assured his father of his true intentions. He was a curious wolf after all, who loved to make explorations. BUT this was not a place for it!  "Max, call our team of doctors and hunter wolves for further investigation on the issue. Make sure that no clue is missed out" He said with his eyes affixed on Jake. "Sure, Killian." Beta Max answered.  "And YOU," he pointed at his son. "As for you... You will report in school for extra detention classes for two months."  Jake's mouth formed in an O as he angrily stomped his foot. "I am your son, dad. You can't punish me like that."  "Oh yes, I can. Because I am your Alpha."  Tbc...
