Chapter 3 “It’s not like that at all, Eli,” Yakecen said. “I wish I could talk about it, but I don’t even have the words to explain.” Eli’s grin was a thing of beauty, full of sunshine. His friend was so easy to please when it came to anything. Most times, Eli wanted to understand and he cared so much for those around him. That Yakecen was counted among Eli’s friends made him happier than he’d ever known. The real shame of it was he knew Eli would make him blissfully content if he allowed their relationship to go any further. That wouldn’t be fair to Eli, though.
