TORI’S POV
“Who are you?!”
Oh my gosh someone behind me spoke. He was a guy and I don’t know what I should do. What if he’s a bad guy and he wants to hurt me?
Sh*t! what should I say? What should I do?? Grr I have to think---
“I’m sorry she’s with me. I think she lost her way”
Is that you, Caleb? Oh, my goodness, I'm so thrilled he showed up.
"Why are you following that girl and what are you doing here?" Looking at you two, you appear to be well-dressed, so there's no way you're trying to abduct the girl you're following” the man said.
I'm sure he's already talking to Caleb, so I turned around to face him while he was talking to him.
Caleb apologized and added, "I'm sorry, but we really need to get going." He signed me up to come, so I simply walked straight out from my position and we didn't even care to look around.
No one should see me here because if they do, they will question why such an actress is interested in coming here, and worst case scenario, they will fabricate stories about it, which would undoubtedly harm my career.
"How did you end up here? " I inquired as we returned to the hotel.
"I was planning on joining you earlier, but you simply stood up, so I followed you," he explained.
I said, "Thank you."
If Caleb doesn't arrive, I'm not sure what I should do first to get away from there.
"Why are you stalking that girl in the first place?" he inquired abruptly.
“Nothing. I was just interested what was going on here, so I came to look," I explained.
I lied to him. If I told him I just saw a female who looked precisely like me, he wouldn't believe me. It's best not to mention it since he'll think it's a ridiculous thing. Maybe I'll tell him when I've confirmed it.
"Hmm, that's fine."
I know he's skeptical, but I'm not going to tell him that. For now, there is only one thing I need to do: find that girl, no matter what it takes. I still need to confirm if she looks like me or whether I was simply hallucinating due to stress.
We returned to the party, and when Mom saw me, she became concerned.
"What have you been up to?" Mom is holding back from yelling at me, "I've been quite concerned about you."
"Don't worry, mom," I comfort her, "nothing transpired."
After ensuring that Mom has calmed down, I return to my corner table and continue to drink while watching the other guests have a good time. They're having a good time. The space is dimly lit, with colored lights flashing in all directions and music playing in the background. Caleb is with me, and he's taking care of me like my mother desired.
"Why don't you have a good time? " I inquired.
“Nah" he said, "I'll simply remain here with you."
When he speaks to me, he always has that smile on his face. That's something he never gets tired of doing, huh?
"All right, then, let's drink," I said, raising a toast to him.
I want to drink alcohol because I have a strong desire to do so. I'm too stressed out, and a shot of tequila would help.
“Cheers!!" I toss a glass in the air, and we both take a sip. It has a wonderful flavor.
I'm already tipsy and a bit reckless after how many drinks we've had, so I drag Caleb towards the middle, where everyone else is dancing and enjoying themselves.
Caleb warns, "You're inebriated, be careful."
I took a glass of tequila from the waiter when it passes by while Caleb tried to take it away from me.
"You're already inebriated. Hey! That's enough!" He snatched the glass from my grasp.
“Hey! Come… on! You’re such a k-kill joy!” I told him.
When I stare at him, he merely smiles and says, "Give that to me!"
I keep reaching for the glass in his hand that is extended out away from me, but I keep failing because he continues retreating back till...
"OH MY GOSH!"
Everyone gasped, but all I can see in front of me is Caleb. When I yanked the glass from his grip and bumped him, he stumbled over someone and couldn't find a support, so he fell on the floor with me on top of him.
"I told you to... " I feel like I'm about to pass out, "give me the... gla—-"
…
CALEB’S POV
What the hell happened to her when she fell asleep on top of me? She's too intoxicated and has lost control as a result of her inebriation.
"Caleb, are you all, right? " Tita inquired, concerned.
"Can anyone assist me in freeing Tori from Caleb? " Tita requested assistance. She's not particularly heavy, and I'm capable of supporting her weight.
When I stood up, I turned to face Tita and stated, "She's easily drunk."
Because she had a poor alcohol tolerance, she was readily affected by alcohol, because it was tequila.
"Can you send her home, Caleb?" Tita explained to me.
I answered with a smile. Even if Tita hadn't asked, I would have gone ahead and done it on my own. Yes, Tita trusted me, and I've been welcomed into their family, and she's even aware of my feelings for their daughter, but there's always respect and duty involved, and that's what I'm attempting to maintain.
"Sure, tita," I said.
Tori is carried outside by two men, while I go to the parking lot to collect my car and meet them at the hotel's door. We get her into the car, and I drive directly to their house after we're done. She's like a beautiful sleeping beauty.
When she's sleeping, she appears so lovely and peaceful, and I couldn't stop staring at her.
I feel so much desire for her that it sometimes drives me insane, but I believe that's what it means to be in love.
When we arrived at their house, I carried her into her room like a bride, laying her on the bed and covering her bare legs with a blanket.
When I heard her talk, I was going to leave.
"Please don't leave just yet."
I'm startled to see her awake, but her eyelids are heavy and she's still buzzed. I approach her carefully and take a position on her side.
"Do you have a problem?" " I inquired.
She remained silent. She keeps looking at me, and I'm wondering what's on her mind right now, till she simply... sobbed.
"Whoa, what happened?"
I helped her up and simply hugged her. I'm so desperate to help her feel better that seeing her cry pains me.
I can only hear her sobbing since she's crying so hard. I need to console her, and I'm hoping that simply patting her back and hugging her would enough.
"It's all right…" while attempting to soothe her, I muttered, "Everything is going to be okay."
I'm not sure what caused her breakdown, but whatever it was, I wish her well. I don't want to see her in this kind of pain.
I couldn't hear her weeping after a while of consoling her.
“Tori?" I spoke to her in hushed tones. She remained silent.
She's sound sleeping. I tucked her back into her bed. I merely observed her flaws and didn't know what to do to heal her. I wish I could assist her shoulder the weight of everything she's been through so that at the very least everything would be a little easier for her.
Before leaving her, I kissed her forehead after making sure she was sleeping well. Tomorrow is going to be a hard day at work. I have to go home as well, but I need to text Tita first to let her know that Tori is already safe and sound at home, so she won't be concerned. I emailed her as well, letting her know that I'll be headed home as well, as it's becoming late.
