Simile stood at the window of her room. She never expected to be here again. In the same room, she'd had when she'd been Emily's guard. She could hear her moving around in the other room, just on the other side of a flimsy door that separated them. In the past, she would have asked her if she was okay if she needed anything. Now all she could do was listen because that was Andy's job now. She frowned at the thought of Andy. Her first instinct should be to protect Emily, even from her father, but when he'd gotten agitated she'd not moved a muscle to defend Emily. If they'd bonded as they should have, then she'd have stepped in front of Emily, taken the blows from the Alpa on herself. But she'd stood and let him speak to Emily. She'd have to talk to Andy, something about it bothered her.  S
