*** I was woken up by the sound of the wind. I slowly opened my eyes, blinking confusedly as I didn’t recognise my surroundings. The beige walls and grand furniture seemed so surreal, and it took a while before I remembered where I was. Rosewood Manor. I was still in Aunt Margaret’s house. I laid back down and stared at the ceiling, still unable to wrap my head around how we’d gotten here. Everything was happening so fast, and I couldn’t believe how quickly I’d gone from sneaking into a warehouse to rescue who I thought was my dad to lying in a plush bed and listening to the sound of peacocks frolicking about outside the window.
