I woke up the next morning to the sound of thunderous rainfall. It was nearly midday, but there was a heavy downpour outside and the street was almost completely flooded. I’d never seen anything like it before, and I stood there watching in awe.
“Crazy, isn’t it?” Asher said as he walked into my room. “I just got a call that school is canceled. My mom went to join meet your dad at town hall when the shower first started, but now they’re stuck there.”
