“ I told you, I’m not going to come back, my queen” Ian heard the moment he woke up and wondered who Chloe was talking to even though she kept repeating how much he doesn’t like him, she agreed to share the same bed, and he loved every moment of it, yes he was the pervert that watched her sleep not believing that she was actually real, and he found her after so many years

“No, I don’t care what the elder says, I don’t even care what you say, I’m not your saviour nor am I your heir, I’m human remember” she answered pacing, her hair was all over the place, and Ian was loving her that way, she was not guarded but she was pissed

“I don’t care about the prophesy, where was the stupid prophesy when all of you were mistreating me, don’t ever call this line again, you maybe my queen but you will never be my mother” she ended the call and groaned before throwing the cell phone on the wall, making Ian jump from the bed going to her side and his arms automatically wrapped around her but damn he shouldn’t have because he scared her and Chloe didn’t even realise Ian was awake

Electricity caused throughout her whole body but instead of tingling it came out of her hands like an orange lighting, lighting up the dark room before shocking Ian throwing him against his bedroom wall with a thud, Chloe was shocked she never thought she had this gift even though she saw a glimpse of it days before, a seer only had one gift and by now she discovered the second gift, she got out of her thoughts when she saw Ian laying on the floor

She ran up to him but she stood there afraid to touch him again after what just happened

“Ian are okay?” she said staying three feet away from him, he groaned looking up with the world largest smile on his lips, and Chloe couldn’t help but think his crazy

“wow, that was awesome” he got up leaning on the wall

“Did I hurt? I’m sorry but I don’t know what happened to me, believe me when I say I didn’t mean to” she looked at the floor

Ian finally got his footing trying to come closer to Chloe who went few steps back

“Don’t worry baby, I’m okay” he tried again but she stepped away ignoring him calling her baby she will have to deal with that later right now she didn’t want him touching her, she didn’t know how to control her powers yet, damn she didn’t know she had two powers before today

“Ian I just hurt you don’t lie for my benefit okay, just stay away until I know how to deal with this gift” she groaned going to the other side of the bedroom, but Ian followed her

“Listen to me, you didn’t hurt me, and even if you did I’m a werewolf I would have healed seconds ago, but you didn’t okay?” he smiled at her but she was not buying it

“Hey look at it this way, when werewolves find their mates they feel tingles when they touch but I got the whole package, I didn’t only feel electricity cause throughout my whole body I felt the damn lightning” he joked and a small laugh escaped her lips making him smile

“You crazy, but thank you”

“My pleasure, now it’s still early go back to sleep I’m going on patrol, will wake you up when I comeback so we can have breakfast okay?” she nodded going back to bed all the stress she had gone and she closed her eyes hearing him dress up and his footsteps going to the door

“hey Ian” she said with her eyes closed

“Mhmm?” he answered holding the door handle

“Be safe” she said falling back to sleep and Ian couldn’t help the smile that appeared on his lips, she keep saying that she don’t like him but she cares and it shows he smiled going downstairs and was met by his brother by the door

“Someone had a good night” he teased making him laugh

“Yes, Eddie but not what you think okay”

“Whatever, but what you doing here you know you have three days off to spend with your mate right? They usually give pack members who recently found their mates three days off to spend time with their mates because most are mated the same day they meet

“ I need fresh air and I’m sure she also need time by herself now let’s go just like old times, east, west , south then North” Eddie nodded they always made it competition patrolling the area since they were kids so they went shifting in mid air checking the perimeter but Ian found a strange scent he hadn’t smelled in the territory before

He stormed back looking in the darkness but still he didn’t find anyone which was strange, wondering who that scent belonged to, it was faint but still there and it made him feel uneasy, the only thing they had to worry about was the rogues but this scent was much more, and it shook him but it was gone now

He ran back to the pack it was clear although the scent still got to him but he decided not to tell anyone about yet, maybe it was someone passing by, because the scent was gone already, when he reached the pack Eddie was already waiting by the door smirking at him

“ You getting slow brother or the night of passion got to you” he teased, it was the first time in years that Eddie won the patrol challenge and Ian knew the only reason was the scent but he didn’t want to alarm him so, he kept his mouth shut and gave him the win

“it’s a one time thing Eddie enjoy it while it last, because it won’t happen again” he said putting his clothes on but Eddie chuckled

“Believe me I will, and I’m sure Gloria won’t believe it, so I will go to my mate and wait for the reward of beating you” he left him at the door and ran to his room

Ian got in the house going to the kitchen to make breakfast for his mate who is going to wake up hungry but got a shock when he saw her sitting on the stool drinking tea, deep in her thoughts

“Why are you awake?” he said from the door startling her and she accidentally poured hot tea on his shirt

“Ian you scared me” she said running to take the paper towel wiping his white shirt that was suddenly transparent her finger touching his skin

“Sorry” he muttered looking at her straight in the eyes, and for a moment only both of them existed with her small hand on his chest, their breathing getting heavy, his eyes went her lips and she licked them looking at his, but the baby kicked bringing her back to her reality and she looked down taking the wet paper towel throwing it in a rubbish bin

“You didn’t answer my question” said Ian avoiding what almost happened

“I did just for minutes, but I felt uneasy” she said washing her hands, just to keep herself busy, and hiding her pink cheeks

“What happened? Are you okay? Did something happen?” he was at her side in seconds hovering over her

“I’m fine Ian, I just had this strange felling that someone was watching me, but it turned out to be nothing okay?” she said wiping her hands, and turning to leave but Ian couldn’t let it go, if she felt like someone was watching her, it must have been true, and he couldn’t forget the scent in the forest what the hell was going on?

“I’m going to do a sweep of the pack house” he turned to leave but Chloe caught his wrist

“I already checked okay? It was nothing so let’s go back to sleep before we wake more people” she lied but she did check but and there was no one when she went outside but doesn’t mean there wasn’t anybody seconds ago, she could feel it someone was really there but she didn’t know who it was yet

“no I have to double check something is not right” he whispered the last part, it was the first time his pack was even close to being under attack and he was going to make sure all of them were safe

“No, you going back to sleep with me, I’m tired Ian and I won’t sleep alone when I’m feeling this uneasy I told you I checked or you don’t believe me” she glared at him and he gave in even though he didn’t want but he knew that his mate came first and she really needed to rest, she was carrying a pup after all

“okay, I will watch over you while you rest okay, I don’t like you feeling uneasy in my pack” she nodded but she knew the truth she was not worried about herself, she was more worried about Ian being outside alone!

Something was wrong and deep down she knew it, but what?
