The next morning you could feel it in the air the as the people roamed around the house their Luna was on the way, and Chloe was pretty excited, Abby was finally coming back, although Jason was there, she felt alone, it was not the same anymore
After a hot shower she put on a long lavender maxi dress, paired with white pumps, her curly hair left long reaching her back, and she fixed her makeup she didn’t need much as she was glowing from the pregnancy
Although Dominic rejected her, she was more than happy about the baby, she was carrying the love of her life’s baby she couldn’t ask for more, could she? But yes she wanted more she wanted Dominic but she knew she couldn’t have him
She went down stairs and everything was almost done but Jason was on edge directing people to fix little things that won’t even matter when Abby gets there, but as always he overthinks everything and as for Nick he was a nervous wreck, but who could blame the poor man he hadn’t seen his mate since he woke up, Chloe went to sit down feeling a little dizzy even though pregnancy made her look even prettier, the morning sickness was the worst, and she craved for raw steak, but she was fighting herself because she was not going to eat that
Jason clapped announcing that Abby was almost there, and everyone got to their hiding place just to surprise her, it was exciting the giggle and the laughter of people waiting for her filled the living room, and soon she came through the door switching the light on and all of them were going to yell surprise but their mouth and eyes opened wide when they saw her baby bump
While everyone was surprised Chloe was feeling otherwise the baby was calling for her, and Chloe knew she was going to have a vision, and she didn’t want to have one of those in front of everyone, her eyes were already changing colour, and she knew it was only going to stop when she got far from Abby so, she ran to the nearest bathroom heaving, being pregnant and having visions didn’t go well together
She took balance on the vanity, hunched over but the door soon opened but luckily the vision had past but she knew it won’t be long until it came back the next time they met again the same thing was going to happen again
“Are you okay?” asked Abby concerned and Chloe couldn’t help as tears fell all the stress from couple of days ago coming to her, even though she knew this was not the time to do it, she couldn’t help it
“He found his mate” she blurted out but from the looks she got from Abby she knew that Abby already knew about it, and she hated the pity she saw but she needed her comfort and other things were bubbling to the surface
“don’t worry you will find someone else who is going to love you as much” she said but that’s what people didn’t understand she didn’t want anybody else she wanted Dominic, and only Dominic
“That’s not the problem Abby, the problem is that I don’t see him in my future, the same way I saw you and Jason happily together, his future is with his mate” she took a deep breath thinking it was time she told someone about her gift that her family thought she didn’t have
Chloe gift was to see people happily ever after, but the curse was she couldn’t see hers, and the worst part was she was not even in Dominic happily ever after, his mate was.
“I can see the future Abby, I’m a seer” she sniffed making Abby’s eyes go wide in shock but she expected it but she had more to tell her
“And I’m pregnant, it’s Dominic's” Chloe announced embarrassed
“you’re carrying Dominic baby” they both heard someone yell from the door, and Chloe knew that dominant voice very well it was Abby’s mother, the Luna
“Mom, when I said privacy, I meant it” she groaned but Chloe kept quiet hanging her head in shame
“I’m still the Luna here, and it’s my house, your mates are waiting for you and both are restless, back to my question did you say you are going to have my grandchild?” Chloe nodded and Abby answered coming to her side
“I’m here for you” but Lily rolled her green eyes and knew her family was facing yet another problem, this was such a mess, can’t they be normal but she knew they couldn’t they were werewolves after all
“I’m also here for you, now let’s go to the party” she held Chloe arm and she felt a motherly warm touch making her body tingle and her pup move with excitement, she couldn’t help thinking she was going to be a good grandmother to her child
When they opened the door both Jason and Nick were waiting outside looking like children who were caught stealing cookies in a jar, but Lily pulled Chloe with her going back to the full living room and she had no time to fix her make up, and was sure tear stripes were showing
They entered the big living room the soft music playing in the background people already eating and the door opened uncle Caleb came inside with a tall muscular man with the strong jaw Chloe had ever saw, his black hair neatly combed she couldn’t help but noticed everything about him including the greenish-grey eyes of his
He was wearing a black jacket even though it was not that cold his aura screamed power, those plump lips red from him licking them now and then, and Chloe shook her head with that thought why was she thinking about another man? She loved… but before she could finish her thought a growl was heard in the entire room and everyone got quiet, even the music was switched off immediately
Strong arms wrapped around her waist to his warm chest inhaling his manly woody scent, and she wondered what the hell was going on
“Mine!” he heard his chest vibrate and her eyes searched for Abby because she couldn’t get out of his strong grip and she was not about to use her powers, wait what powers? She watched her hands glowing and fought it and relaxed in his arms but the door opened revealing Dominic with a young blonde, blue eyed beauty, and their eyes locked
Their eyes were holding pain, but Chloe wondered why Dominic eyes have pain in them, when he was the one who rejected her, but the haze was broken when the girl pulled his arm possessively
“What’s wrong daddy?” Chloe couldn’t believe it her heart breaking over again but Abby was by her side fast
“Ian can you please borrow me your mate for a second” Abby could see he was hesitant, and didn’t want to command him, everyone knew how he has been looking for his mate, so she gave him her pleading blue eyes
“Please?” he finally let her go making Chloe run to Abby embrace glaring at Dominic who was by the door
“Lets go to the kitchen dear, everything is going to okay” she whispered pulling her to the kitchen, the party was already ruined
Abby made warm water and sugar to calm Chloe down that hadn’t stopped crying, and handed it to her, and she gulped the whole glass
“I’m sorry about Dominic” she whispered brushing her arm
“She is beautiful” she sniffed
“yes, and you found your mate” she smiled at her, but Chloe eyes went wide realisation finally dawning at her, that man was her mate?
“No, no ways Abby, I don’t want a mate, I already have so much to deal with” she stood up and started pacing the kitchen
“But..” Abby started but stopped when Dominic entered the kitchen alone his face hard with anger
“For a person who claimed to love me it took you two days to get over me” he growled his anger visible suffocating Abby who also was angry at his words
“I didn’t move on and yes I love you Dom” Chloe sniffed looking at the floor, Abby shook her head, for a woman who was strong most of the time she seemed weak when coming to Dominic
“Chloe, you don’t need to explain yourself to him” Abby intervened but Dom, was already by Chloe side holding her arm so tight it was really was going to turn green and Abby knew it was hurting her but Chloe didn’t seem to mind, this was mess
“Did you f**k him, is that why you smell different” he growled Dominic was an jealous ass
“What?” Chloe finally stood up anger in her eyes standing up to him
“Is that what you think of me? And if it is I’m glad it’s over she tried to side step him but he pulled her tightly crashing his lips on hers in a passionate kiss, Chloe responded her arms going to his neck and Abby couldn’t stand this mess and she was about to step out of the kitchen when she heard Ian's deep growl
