Third-person narrative. Early the next morning, Alpha Tyron arrived at the little moonbeam pack himself to take his soon-to-be luna home. On getting to the little moonlight beam pack house, he was welcomed and asked to be patient while they prepared his bride to meet with him. While he sat, he struggled with himself and the decision he made the previous day. When he left his pack yesterday, he didn't have the thought of getting himself a mate or breeder. But somehow, he felt deeply connected with a scent that he had picked the moment he walked into the pack house yesterday. The scent felt so peaceful and his first thought was that it must be from the beautiful girl that was standing by his debtors. So when the opportunity came for him to ask for what he wanted, he immediately asked that she should be given to him as a breeder. Yes, it was true that the elders in his pack have been advising him to find another mate, to bare him an heir in other to continue his reign as the alpha king. But, Alpha Tyron was not in a hurry to find himself another mate, not after the painful way he had lost his first mate. Unknown to anyone, Tyron still blamed himself for how his mate had died, even though the situation leading to her death was not entirely his fault. But he was unwilling to forgive himself, even though it had been five years already. He had never for once thought about getting mated to anyone else, but that changed last night. He was hopeful that because of the beautiful scent he had picked, he could slowly give himself another opportunity to love and be loved back. As soon as Alpha Tyron arrived, Nala's mother went to her room and informed her that her soon-to-be mate was around to take her. Even though she could see that Nala wasn't happy about the union, she cared less about Nala's feelings. To her, it would be better for Nala to be sent off with Tyron, instead of Kylie who she believed had more potential in finding the perfect alpha for herself. She asked Nala to get dressed in her best clothes which were not particularly fit for such an occasion. “Don't forget that you are doing this for your family, so do not say anything out there until he signs the papers that we need him to sign,” her mother implored her. She slowly nodded her head in agreement as she was left with no choice. When she was done getting dressed up, her mother draped a long veil over her head to hide her identity from Tyron. “Let's go,” her mother said, leading her outside to the sitting room where Tyron and Nala's father were waiting. Even though Nala could not see Tyron, she noticed her wolf was getting excited inside her head. She could also pick a sweet scent, it was soothing to her and she couldn't help but wonder if Tyron had come with someone else other than himself. “What is this? Take off her veil,” ordered Tyron as soon as he saw his bride being brought in. “What's the rush alpha, it is customary in our pack that the bride covers her face before she is taken to her mate's place. Moreover, you are yet to sign the papers like we agreed yesterday,” said Nala's father. “What do you take me for? That I will go back on my word?” asked a slightly offended Tyron. “No, we just want everything to be properly documented for future purposes,” stated Nala's father. “Fine, bring the papers, I will sign them,” said Tyron. He was soon provided the papers and within seconds he had signed them without thinking twice. “I have signed the papers, now take away the veil,” he ordered. “Alpha Tyron, we beg your patience, take her to your pack first before unveiling her,” Nala's mother pleaded. Tyron immediately suspected foul play as he was soon on his feet and went over to where Nala stood to off the veil from her face. He is furious at what he saw as he turned sharply to face Nala's father. “What is this? Did you trick me into marrying your maid?” He questioned angrily, his every word laced with anger and betrayal. Nala's father flinched in his seat as he could almost taste the danger radiating from Tyron's voice and bloody eyes. “No, Alpha Tyron, Nala is our daughter, you can ask anyone around. We have two daughters, and she is the youngest. Since you didn't specify which of our daughters you wanted to marry, we assumed she was the one,” Nala's father stuttered frightfully. “You know it's one thing to trick me, but trying to call me dumb is not something I would easily let slide,” he barked at him. “Please alpha Tyron, we didn't know how to say this yesterday when you demanded our daughter's hand in marriage. Our oldest daughter is already betrothed to another alpha, and her mating ceremony is set in fourteen days. And that was the reason we decided to give you our Nala. She is a very good girl and capable of doing everything you want from her,” Nala's mother said in a placating tone. Tyron felt cheated as his eyes subconsciously found themselves checking out the curvy lady before him. She appeared to be scared of him as she kept her face down the entire time, He could also tell that despite her curvy body, she was pretty young. And despite alpha malik saying that Nala was his daughter, there was nothing that showed that path. Even the clothes she had on her could pass for a cheap maid costume. “How old are you,” Tyron questioned Nala. “She is nineteen today,” Nala's mother quickly answered. “I didn't ask you, I asked her,” Tyron barked at her. Something about his new bride excited him, although he could not make out what it was. Maybe because he was too consumed in his anger. The truth was he had never been a man who judged a book by its cover, her size didn't matter to him and the only thing that was pissing him off was the betrayal. He had only known Kylie to be alpha Malik's daughter along with his two sons whom he would normally see with him at various functions. Never has he ever seen Nala with them. But despite his disappointment, he knew he had no choice but to go with Nala. Five hundred thousand dollars was a lot of money to let go. Since they have already said that Kylie was betrothed to be married to someone else, it was no use crying over spilled milk. He angrily stormed out of the pack house to go and wait for her in his car. “Go with him, he is your mate now and no matter what happens, don't ever come back here, else he thinks we tricked him,” Nala's mother said harshly to her after Tyron had left. Nala slowly picked up her bag that contained a few of her clothes, taking uneven slow steps, Nala found herself walking out of her pack house. None of her family members even saw her out of the house, it was as if they have been wanting to get rid of her for a very long time. She could just make a run for it at that moment, but how far would she run? And if what she had heard about the man she just got mated to was true, he would kill her entire family for her running away. She got outside and for the first time, she lifted her eyes to look around, as she wasn't sure where Tyron was. That same moment she saw a beautiful expensive black car turn on its ignition and drove to where she was standing. “Get into the car,” she heard Tyron say to her in a harsh voice, as the car door opened. She slowly entered the car front seat and she could feel her body relaxed a little to the scent and comfort of the car. “What's that thing in your hand?” He questioned, a little irritated by the wretched-looking bag she was holding. “It's my bag, it contains my clothes,” she said slowly. “Drop it, you won't be needing it, even my maids wear far better clothes than the ones you currently have on,” he said to her in an icy tune. Even though Nala felt a little slighted by Tyron's words, she knew better than to talk back at him. So she opened the car door and dropped her bag, before closing back the door. “You don't have to accept me as your breeder, I know I don't have what it takes to become your breeder. And you know very well that I do not wish to be in this relationship just like you. You can please drop me off the road and go your way,” she said in a calm voice, that had a little element of fear. “And what would happen to the five hundred thousand dollars that I just bought you? Do you have it to give me?” questioned Tyron. Nala's heart sank as the thought of just being sold by her parents made her super sad. Tears threatened to spill from her but she blinked them away as she didn't want to appear weak in Tyron's presence. “I asked you a question, do you have the money?” “No,” She replied, nodding her head silmuteonusly. “I thought so too, let's just hope that you are worth every penny I paid on you,” Tyron said as he speedily drove out of the Little Moonbeam Pack House.
