Ariel
Eric had been my high school sweetheart, but my feelings for him were nothing compared to this. It's bizarre, as I barely know Sebastian. The second he walked into the bar though, I had butterflies in my stomach and my heart was racing. It's ridiculous how sexy he is. I can't believe I told him we are soulmates because of our names. If that were the case, Eric would have been my soul mate. It didn't matter as he never even saw the movie, which I find unbelievable.
Sebastian's friend David was also here again, but not sitting at the bar. Instead of David at the bar, it was some other guy who was a straight-up asshole. I'm a little surprised that Sebastian associates himself with that guy. When a beautiful woman took a seat next to Sebastian, I couldn't help but feel jealous. Why though? It's not like we're dating.
My jealousy subsided once I found out she has a husband and he soon joined, taking a seat next to the asshole. I wonder why he chose not to sit next to his wife.
After a little bit, I had gone to attend to other customers. When I turned around to go back to Sebastian and his friends, I was disappointed to see he and the others were gone. The only one remaining was the woman. Why didn't he at least say bye to me?
"There was an emergency, but Sebastian wanted me to tell you he said bye and he looks forward to seeing you again." The woman kindly informs me. Worry begins to rise within me.
"Is he okay?" I ask.
She smiles warmly, "He's perfectly fine. It was in regard to a friend of his and my husband. My name is Alexandria by the way." I return a smile of my own, "It's nice to meet you Alexandria. I'm Ariel." She nods her head, "I know. I have heard so much about you." I feel my face blush at the thought of Sebastian talking about me to his friends.
"What could he have possibly said about me? We met for the first time last week." I had to ask as curiosity was getting the better of me.
"Oh, sweetheart. Do you believe in love at first sight?" Alexandria asks. I thought she was joking with me at first, but her face was quite serious.
"No. How could you possibly love someone you don't know? Love takes time. You have to build a bond with someone, and build trust and respect. You can't say you're in love with someone just by their looks." I honestly reply.
Did Sebastian tell his friends that he loves me? Is he an obsessive crazy person?
"Calm down, sweetheart. He didn't claim to love you. He simply told me that he met a beautiful woman at the bar that he and his best friend go to every Thursday night. This said woman is also stubborn and kind. He wants to get to know her. That's all." Alexandria tells me, and I believe every word. She doesn't seem like someone who would lie.
"Can I ask you a somewhat personal question about Sebastian?" I ask before filling two more glasses of beer for one of my regulars. He'll chug them both down before I even finish my question for Alexandria.
"Sebastian is a very honest man and anything you want to ask, should be asked directly to him." Well, s**t. Guess I'll have to save my questions for my man. Wait, what? He's not my man.... but I wish he was.
