Elise and Ichigo managed to loot several more fragments of parchment from the pile of dead rats, which was disgusting but satisfying work. Ichigo even thought he would be able to put the pieces together; though he wasn’t sure if they got all of them. Elise left the parchment fragments in the cleric’s capable hands, and pleased with having put in a good day’s work, she returned to The Nipper’s Nest for a well deserved rest.
When Elise returned to The Nipper’s Nest that evening she was feeling good - and felt even better after the innkeeper gave her a handful of responses to her recruitment ad. She grabbed a bite to eat in the inn’s common room - another spicy grain based dish, but this time with a bit of an after burn - as she reviewed the responses.
