“I don’t have time to prove myself to you,” Maximo said because of what he heard.
"If you don't trust me, I can leave now and do the job I left behind at Amara," he added.
Maximo looked at everyone in his front. The Majars looking at him with a serious face.
Maximo sighed and turned his back from them.
Maximo was about to walk out of the room where he was when King Mauri spoke.
" Please, don't leave, Max. We need to talk to you, " King Mauri ordered Maximo.
Maximo looked at King Mauri.
"Can you explain to us how did you manage to defeat the devils using the weapons that you called guns and cannons?" King Mauri asked Maximo.
"Why should I? If you're hesitant about me, why should I tell you?" Maximo asked King Mauri.
"You will take care of the Capital and the other Villages of the Nara Kingdom, and we will take care of Amara," Maximo said seriously.
Maximo was about to walk out of the room but he suddenly stopped when fire touched his scalp.
Maximo grabbed his burned shoulder and turned around, wearing his serious face and look at the people behind him.
He saw a Captain of majar pointing his Armas at Maximo, smiling, and his eyes are full of insult.
"Jimmy! What are you doing!" Alexander asked Jimmy, the Captain of White Horse.
"I don't like his words, Alexander! It seems that he has high self-esteem!" Jimmy commented while looking at Maximo.
Maximo took out his gun that was at his side. He pointed it out to Jimmy.
Maximo heard Jimmy's loud laugh which annoyed Maximo.
"Is that what you're saying to us as a weapon? What can it do? It's just a metal!" Jimmy asked Maximo with a laugh.
Maximo felt annoyed because of what Jimmy had told him.
Maximo pointed his gun and immediately pulled the trigger.
'Bang!'
In an instant, Jimmy was hit in the shoulder and he was able to throw his Armas.
"Sh*t!" Jimmy cursed.
He grabbed his shoulder that had been hit. He looked sharply at Maximo and he quickly attacked Maximo.
" Jimmy! " Alexander called his name but it seems that he didn't hear anything.
When Jimmy is near Maximo, Maximo aimed his gun at Jimmy's left foot and pulled the trigger.
Because of that, Jimmy was stopped from attacking and he knelt on the floor.
They can see what Maximo did.
They can’t believe that Jimmy did nothing with the weapon Maximo tells them.
"Are you really a Captain of the Majar?" Maximo asked Jimmy, there was an insult in his voice.
Jimmy felt even more annoyed for Maximo.
Maximo looked at King Mauri who was surprised by what had happened.
The Councils and Captains of Majars were also standing and looking at their position.
"If you appoint such Captains like this, King Mauri, the Devils will surely destroy and conquer The Kingdom of Nara!" Maximo said to King Mauri.
Maximo looked at Jimmy and grinned. Jimmy's blood was flowing from his shoulder and to his leg due to the hit of the bullets.
"Even if I don't have Armas or magic, I can kill you right now, Majar!" Maximo said.
Maximo turned around, opened the door, and went out.
When he came out, Maximo saw the man with him.
"What happened? I heard a gunshot, Max!" Maximo's companion immediately asked him.
"Nothing. The Majars inside are worthless," Maximo replied to his companion.
"Let's go. Let's go home and we still have a lot to do," Maximo said.
Maximo and his companion walked out of the palace.
They were on the stairs when someone shouted and called Maximo's name.
Maximo stopped walking down the stairs. He looked up and there, he saw Alexander, the King Majar.
"Come back inside. The meeting isn't over yet," Alexander told him.
Maximo just looked at him seriously.
" If you want to talk to me, Amara is open if you want. I didn't like that Jimmy!" Maximo said honestly to Alexander.
"Come on!" Maximo called to his companion and they continued down the stairs.
When they got down, they were immediately greeted by their two other companions.
"Let's go home. We won't get anything out of here," Maximo told them.
The four of them went out of the palace at once and rode on their horses.
When they got out of the big gate of the Palace, they decided to have lunch first before they went home to Amara.
While they were eating lunch, some soldiers suddenly came in and looked for Maximo.
Maximo looked seriously at the soldiers approaching their location.
"King Mauri wants to bring you back to the palace, Mr. Max," the soldier said to Maximo.
"I'm not going back there. If they want to talk to me, tell them to go Amara," Maximo said seriously to the soldier in front of him.
"I would like to remind you, Mr. Max, that the king is ordering you back to the palace," the soldier told him.
"I don't care if he's the King or not!" Said Maximo, determined that he would never return to the palace.
Maximo stood up in his seat. He called his companions.
" We need to leave now! " Maximo ordered his companions.
They passed the soldiers who were here and came out to the eatery. They got on their horses and started to go back to Amara.
The soldiers did nothing. They return to the Palace and inform King Mauri that Maximo does not want to return.
"I can't believe it! Who is that bastard to act like that? He's not from here in Chronia, he has no Armas and he has no Mana! We don't need him, King Mauri!" Jimmy said firmly to King Mauri.
King Mauri looked at Jimmy. Some medics treated his injuries to his shoulder and foot.
"You know that there was nothing happened to Amara because of Max, don't you, Jimmy? We need to know what he did for everyone's safety here in Nara!" King Mauri said to Jimmy.
"Look what happened to you. He doesn't have an Armas, he also doesn't have a Mana like us but he can kill you because of the weapon he holds that he calls a gun, Jimmy!" King Mauri added.
Jimmy just bowed his head because of what King Mauri told him.
"Get ready, we'll follow Max to Amara tomorrow!" King Mauri ordered all the Majar Captains.
The Captains bowed their heads to what King Mauri had said. There was nothing to do but obey the King's command.
It was five in the afternoon when Maximo arrived in Amara. He immediately went to Roman's office to report what had happened.
When Maximo entered Roman's office, Roman was surprised by his sudden arrival.
"Why are you here so fast, Max?" Roman asked Maximo in surprise.
"I didn't have a good conversation with the Majar, Roman. They underestimated me, so I showed them what our guns can do," Maximo replied to Roman's question.
"What do we mean you showed them?"
"I confronted a Majar Captain, Jimmy. I didn't like the words he said to me, so I shot him in the shoulder and the leg," Maximo replied to him.
Roman just closed his eyes and sighed because of what Maximo said.
“In that case, what did King Mauri say?” Roman asked.
"King Mauri wanted to send me back, but I didn't come back. I told the soldiers earlier that if they wanted to talk to me, they would come here to Amara," Maximo replied.
"Did you do that to King Mauri? The King of Nara?" Roman asked him incredulously.
"You probably know that what you did was to show no respect to the King, don't you, Max? Why did you do that?"
"If they don't believe me or they don't trust me, I'll show the same, Roman," Maximo replied to him.
“I don’t want to waste my time talking to people who have that habit,” Maximo replied.
"But it wasn't King Mauri who said the words you didn't like, was it?"
"But he's the King, Roman, and he's there. He just let that Jimmy speak badly to me!" Maximo replied.
Roman just shook his head because of what Maximo said.
"Ok, that's enough, Max. Take a rest because I know, you're tired from your trip. Tomorrow, you'll continue the jobs you left here," Roman just told him.
"If you have anything for your projects, just come to me and I will give you everything," he added.
Maximo nodded to Roman.
He left Roman's office and went home to Rod's house to rest.
Maximo woke up because of loud explosions from outside Amara.
He immediately got up from the bed and quickly ran up the large barrier surrounding Amara.
As he ascended, he saw the guards with cannons just ascending.
"What's going on? Are there Devils?" Maximo immediately asked the man who climbed the barrier first.
"I don't know, Max. The smoke is still thick because of the explosion of the planted bombs," the man replied to Max.
They waited for the thick smoke to dissipate due to the explosion of trap bombs around Amara.
Gradually, the wind blew away the thick smoke.
Soon, they saw people riding horses.
"The Captains of the Majar and King Mauri!" the man beside Maximo said.
They saw horses and people lying on the ground because of the loud explosion earlier.
“Remove the triggers from the traps!” Maximo shouted.
The Amarians quickly came out to remove the triggers of the bomb traps they had planted.
When all the triggers of the traps were removed, Roman came out and greeted the unexpected visitors.
Maximo also went down and came out of the big gate of Amara to face King Mauri.
"You must inform us that you will visit, King Mauri!" Roman said to King Mauri.
"Many soldiers died because of your stupid traps! " Jimmy shouted with bandages on his arm.
"It's your fault! If you're not stupid!" Maximo replied.
Jimmy's eyes widened at what Maximo had said.
"That's enough. No one is to blame for what happened. We didn't know there were bomb traps around Amara and you didn't know we were going to visit," King Mauri spoke, so Jimmy shot his mouth.
Roman grabbed Maximo's shoulder.
Maximo looked at Roman and signed him to calm down.
"We're here today, Roman to talk to Max. I know he didn't have a good time going to the Capital, so I'd like to apologize," King Mauri said.
"Let's talk inside, King Mauri," Roman told him.
King Mauri smiled, and they started to walk their horses into Amara.
" Just calm, Max. Let's hear what King Mauri wants to say. "
