Chapter 11

1878 Words
Maximo was occupied with the design of a windmill. When Maximo went to the location that Jake had told him about, he realized that the location would be ideal for the construction of a windmill. The wind was strong enough to generate electricity in that location. Amarians continued to make weapons such as guns and cannons, while others practiced how to use them, according to some accounts. Because there have been no Devil attacks on Amara in the last few days, they have had plenty of time to create weapons and practice. "Max, Roman had requested to speak with you," Jake explained to Maximo. Maximo paused in the middle of creating his design for the windmill and turned to face Jake, who was standing beside the door to the room where he was working. " What's the matter? Is there something wrong?" Maximo inquired of Jake. Jake responded, "I'm not sure. Roman just ordered me to tell you that he needs to speak with you," he explained. Maximo let out a long, deep sigh. His belongings were neatly arranged on the table, and he then approached Jake, who was standing nearby. After arriving at Roman's office, Jake was left outside while Maximo went into the building to speak with him. When Maximo walked through the door, he noticed Roman reading the newspaper in front of him. "Would you like to have a conversation with me, Roman?" Maximo inquired. Maximo caught Roman's gaze. He paused what he was doing and gave him a friendly smile. Then Roman called out to Maximo, saying, "Come here, Max. I have something nice to tell you." 'What do you think he'd say? ' Maximo pondered to himself. Maximo moved closer to Roman's side. He took up a position in front of him. " What are you going to say, Roman? " Maximo inquired immediately after Roman's response. "A couple of days ago, King Mauri summoned me to the Capital," Roman explained to him. " He inquired about the Devils' attack on Amara and requested a report on it. I was asked what I did to fight the Devils and how we were successful in our battle against them. The events of the day, how we fought the Devils, and what we did to ensure Amara's safety were all relayed to King Mauri, Max. Maximo just sits there and listens to what Roman is telling him. " He was taken aback by what I told him, and he was even more taken aback by how we created the Weapons that defeated the Devils, so I mentioned you to him," Roman explained to Maximo. " "And now, King Mauri has requested to speak with you, Max," Roman explained. The question Maximo posed to him was, "Do I need to go there, Roman?" " You absolutely must, Max! The King personally requested that you meet with him!" Roman responded. "How about making Weapons, instead of our current plan to build windmills?" Maximo inquired. When Maximo inquired about the weapons and the windmill, Roman replied, "Don't bother with those things, Max. We already know how to make them, and as for the windmill, we can start when you return, right?" Maximo sighed. " All right, I'm on my way, but I'm not sure where the Capital is, Roman." "It's not a problem, Max. I'll arrange for you to have companions to accompany you to Capital, and you'll be on your way the next morning," Roman explained to Maximo. You need to prepare for your trip to the capital, Max, because your companions will be picking you up the next day, Roman said. Maximo had no choice but to listen to what Roman had to say to him. He returned to Rod's house in order to prepare for his trip to the capital the following day. When Maximo had finished repairing his belongings, he went to the facility where weapons were being manufactured, where he informed the Amarians of his intention to travel to the Capital. They have no objections to Maximo's departure because they already know how to manufacture lethal weapons. The windmill design was completed by Maximo, who then returned to Rod's house to rest. The following day, at seven o'clock in the morning, three men went to Rod's house, where Maximo was staying. They left Amara as soon as they could to travel to the capital. They rode on the back of a horse. They traveled across a large expanse of land. They were extremely cautious throughout their journey. They made certain that there would be no Devils present. Despite the fact that the Devils appeared, they were prepared because they had guns for their own protection. In addition, it took them approximately four hours to travel from their starting point to the Capital. Maximo shifted his gaze to what he was passing, and it was here that he realized what kind of place the Capital was. As a result of the Devils' attack, the Capital was gradually regaining its footing. A large number of people were collaborating to repair and rebuild damaged homes and buildings. Maximo, on the other hand, was well aware that Capital is very different from Amara. It was a large space with a large number of buildings surrounding it. Those involved in what they were doing were completely absorbed in their work, and he is aware that Capital was more productive. " We're getting close, Max," said the gentleman who was accompanying Max. They, too, arrived at a large gate not long after. It opened immediately, and as they entered, Maximo noticed a large building, which he later discovered to be a castle. There were a large number of soldiers stationed near the main gate, and the surrounding area of the palace was also breathtaking. The palace was surrounded by fountains and beautiful plants, which were visible. He could also make out the statues that were all around him. When they dismounted from their horses, they proceeded to the palace's main entrance. There were two soldiers standing there. They were able to stop Maximo and his companion from continuing their journey because of the spears that they were wielding. "We're from Amara, and King Mauri has requested that we speak with him, Max," one of Maximo's companions explained to the soldiers. Following what Maximo's companion said, the soldiers withdrew their spears and allowed them to enter the palace through the front door. When they walked in, Maximo couldn't stop himself from being amazed by what he was seeing. In the palace's interior, there was plenty of space. A large chandelier was in the center of the room, and there were canvases visible on the walls and decorative vases on either side as well. " Follow me, Max," one of his companions said to him. Maximo followed the man, while their other two companions stayed behind to help him. They walked up a long staircase and into a room with two soldiers stationed outside the door to keep them safe. "King Mauri wants to speak with Max from Amara," the man accompanying Maximo explained to the two soldiers. The soldier bowed and walked into the room. After a while, the soldier emerged and allowed Maximo to enter the room. Maximo's companions remained outside while he made his way into the house. It took Maximo some time to realize how many people were sitting around the large table when he first arrived. When King Mauri noticed Maximo, he jumped out of his seat and walked over to him. "Come here, Max," King Mauri summoned Maximo to the palace. Maximo sighed as he made his way to the palace of King Mauri. Upon approaching King Mauri, Maximo saluted him and expressed gratitude for the opportunity. "Before we proceed with our meeting, I'd like to introduce to you, Max, the reason why Amara is still standing and there have been no casualties in the devils' attack!" King Mauri announced to everyone in the room that Maximo was the reason Amara was still standing and there had been no casualties in the devils' attack. Maximo greeted everyone in the room with a friendly smile. "I summoned Max here today so that we can find out what he did to fight the Devils," King Mauri announced to the assembled crowd. Maximo was the center of attention for everyone in the room. Maximo was completely baffled by this. "Sit down first, Max, and after the reports are in, they will say that we will discuss what you have done to Amara," King Mauri instructed him. Maximo nodded his head in agreement with what King Mauri had said. His sitting was made possible by a woman who stood behind King Mauri to assist him. "Now, let's get this meeting started," King Mauri exclaimed to the assembled crowd. They carried on with their discussion. Maximo simply sits back and listens to them as they give updates on the state of the entire Nara Kingdom. People present included the Councils of Nara, Captains of Majar who were also present, and the King of Majar Alexander. They had already been informed by King Mauri that Maximo would be arriving today, so they had gathered to find out what Maximo had done to defeat the Devils without causing any damage to Amara. Their discussion went on from there. Maximo sat quietly and listened intently to everything they said. The majority of their conversation revolved around the restoration of the Villages that had been damaged by the Devils' attack, as well as the practices that the Majars were putting in place to be prepared in case the Devils attacked again. "Today, we will discuss what our strategies will be in order to ensure that what happened does not happen again," King Mauri told the assembled audience. Taking a step back, King Mauri inquired of Maximo, "Can we find out what you did to Amara, Max?" King Mauri said to Maximo. Maximo pushed himself out of his seat. Maximo sighed as everyone's eyes were drawn to him. "It's just a simple matter of what we did in Amara, King Mauri, that there was no damage to the Village," Maximo explained to the assembled crowd. Asked Crisanto, the Captain of the Golden Tiger, "How did you make it so simple?" In an instant, Maximo responded with, "We made weapons." "Weapons?" they might wonder. As Maximo explained, "We made guns and cannons in order to fight against the Devils." Furthermore, " We planted bombs around Amara to prevent the Devils from getting any closer to the gate of Amara," Maximo explained. " Guns? Cannons? What are those things, Max?" asked King Mauri, who looked at Maximo with bemusement. When King Mauri inquired about the weapons, Maximo responded, "These are Weapons in my world, on Earth!" "What do you mean, you're not from Chronia, Max?" Jimmy, the Captain of White Horse, inquired. " The truth is that, because I am not from Chronia, I don't have Armas or magic like you, " Maximo admitted. Because of what Maximo said, the people in the room murmured in agreement. They are unsure of what they will think or whether or not they will believe Maximo's story. "Should we put our faith in you, Max, based on what you've said?"
