Epilogue
“This is the place.”
For some time Declan just stared forward, uncomprehending. He saw nothing but a deserted-looking Olympic-sized swimming pool with crystal clear water. Declan turned to his boyfriend. Parker didn’t return his gaze. He looked straight ahead, his eyes flickering and lips curved into a smile.
“Don’t you remember?” he asked.
Declan gazed back at the pool.
Then something clicked in his mind. Of course. He remembered that time when they both had been nobodies. People were around but they had treated them as if they didn’t exist. Declan chuckled a little.
“Sure I do.” He wrapped an arm around Parker’s shoulder and kissed the top of his head. “What do you have in mind?” Declan muttered as he tightened his hold.
