Chapter 2- Just You And Me
Diana slowly withdrew his palm which was cupping her bum and smiled.
"I hate men who believe too much in themselves." She told him as she picked up her drink and gulped everything down.
He laughed and licked his lips, his dark gaze on her.
"Then how about you name your price? I just want a night with you, nothing else." He tried a different approach.
Diana laughed, throwing her head back.
"Really? As I said, Winchell, I'm not a slut." She quipped.
"I know but if the situation demands it. I promise you'll enjoy it." He pressed.
Diana just stared at him for a brief second and looked away. Oscar told her to play hard to get so he wouldn't suspect anything but she honestly didn't want to give in to him just like that, even if he hadn't said it, she would've played that part.
"I like this song." She said suddenly, moving towards the dance floor.
Myles Winchell watched her shake her head to the music as she approached the dance floor.
He followed her. She turned to face him with light in her eyes. She looked passionate about something.
"Dance with me, will you?" She invited but Myles shook his head.
"I don't dance."
He took a seat on a stool nearby and watched her as she danced. He sipped his whiskey as he watched her swing her slender waist.
Damn, she really knew how to dance and it was f*****g sexy. He thought silently.
She locked gaze with him and looked away. She was teasing him and he liked it.
'I'll make sure to have her in my bed tonight. I won't let her go.
She'll be mine. She's different.'
Myles' eyes widened when he saw a man dancing over to her. Before the could hold her waist, Myles slid in between them, holding her waist instead.
She was stunned. She turned to face Myles, wrapping her arms around his neck as she danced.
People were starting to look at them.
"I thought you said you don't dance?" She whispered into his ears because of the blasting music.
"I will dance if men will dance with you. Nobody is touching you tonight. Tonight you are mine." Myles whispered huskily into her ears and she nodded.
"You are very determined." She told him, throwing her head back and laughed, still dancing but Myles just stood beside her with his hands in his pocket.
"I am when it comes to things I like."
He pulled her from the dance floor, making her stumble on her stilettos and her ankle got twisted.
"Myles?" She cried as she stopped and looked down. How she mentioned his name was so sexy that he wanted to take her right here and now.
"What's wrong?" Myles asked with a frown. They were almost in the parking lot.
"You got my leg twisted." She pouted as she bent down.
Myles groaned and gathered her into his strong arms, taking her by surprise but ignored her and took her to his sports car, placing her in the passenger seat and got into the driver seat.
"Are you crazy?" She squealed.
"For you." He retorted and started the car and drove away.
"I really loved that song and I wanted to dance till it faded." She pouted invitingly.
"Well, you can dance to your heart's content in my suite. I don't like the way people were ogling at you back there." Myles snapped back, keeping his eyes on the road.
"Do you have a pole there?"
"Do you plan to strip tease?" Myles grinned at the thought.
"Mm-hmm." She laughed and relaxed in the chair.
She took a good look at the car and saw how posh it really was. She ran her fingers over the new dashboard, admiringly.
"You are pretty rich, huh? I only saw this car on tv." She commented.
"Well, if that's how you'll put it then I am."
"Life's unfair. The very thing that someone needs just a pinch of, the other one has in abundance. Tsk." She snorted, putting her arm out to enjoy the evening breeze.
"Why do you say that?"
"The Orphans. I speak for them." She shrugged nonchalantly as she punched a button in the car and the top opened.
"Are you coming from there?" Myles asked, trying to engage her in a conversation but she ignored him and continued to enjoy the breeze for a while. He wanted to know more about her.
"Is money all you think about?"
"Of course, money makes people go high. Look at you, you're on top of the world with this same money. With money, people won't look down on you. Money makes the world dance when you want it to." Diana shrugged.
Myles was thinking if this girl had come his way because of the money but he didn't care.
She stood up, throwing her hands into the air as the swift wind blew her hair. She laughed at the feel. Myles just stared at her and smiled when she saw her laugh.
She didn't look like a slut, no. There was something about her that made Myles relax.
He had never felt like this in so many months but tonight, he wanted to be carefree.
He pulled out in his apartment and they got down and went inside.
She was amazed to see how big and luxurious Myles suite was. She ran inside and admired the place.
"Wow." She breathed.
"You live all by yourself?"
"Yeah. But you can share it with me if you want."
She gave Myles a pathetic look.
"I don't think we'll do anything, Myles Winchell. I just like you that's all." She jogged around.
I took off my suit as she looked around.
"Feel free. If you think this place is too hot, you can undress too, I won't mind." Myles teased, taking off his shirt.
She looked away.
"I have a f****d up life, Myles." She said honestly.
"And I want you. It's simple. I don't want a relationship. I want to have you, tomorrow we go our separate ways. It's just a f**k and bye thing. No one will get hurt too." Myles told her, walking over to her. Her heart was beating hard.
She felt nervous around Myles but she didn't want Myles to notice how nervous she really was and she tried so hard to mask it.
"I'll go take a shower, okay?" He announced and went to the bathroom.
Diana looked around when he went to the bathroom.
She needed to fix the camera.
She ran to the bedroom, adjoining the hall and fixed it behind the flat screen television.
That will be able to capture something.
He came out in only sweatpants and he had a perfectly toned body. Diana was dancing around the pole and Myles felt something in his pants.
Her natural carefree lifestyle drew Myles to her more.
He walked straight towards her, with a sly grin on his face and Diana stepped back but her legs hit the king-sized bed.
She slowly dropped on the bed as he still came closer. She laid down and he hovered over her, his arms on each side of her body.
"I can't resist you anymore, Danger, And you can't just get me this hard and leave. You need to finish what you started." He whispered before he crashed his lips into hers, sending shivers down her spine.
Diana kissed him back, wrapping her arms around his neck deepening the kiss. He tasted so good and he was a very good kisser. He bit her bottom lip, crashing his tongue with hers.
One of his hands slipped under her dress, pushing it up and that made Diana moan against his mouth.
His mouth left hers as he kissed down her neck, sucking hard on it, nibbling it.
She moaned, arching her back.
She wanted more of him, he was damn good.
He pulled the dress over her head, leaving her in her black lacy bra and underwear.
"You are so beautiful." He whispered as they panted for breath.
"Don't resist me, Danger. Let me have you tonight." He pleaded, his blue eyes pleaded too.
"I can't do this, Myles. Please." Diana said in a sotto voice.
"Why?" He frowned.
"Have I done anything wrong?" He asked quickly and she shook her head.
"No. I'm hungry. Will I get food?" She asked after she thought of something and he nodded, getting off the bed and walking out of the bedroom.
Diana quickly clasped her bra again, standing up quickly.
She strode over to the camera and placed it in her purse but before she could close it he came in.
"We'll have to order..... " He stopped mid-sentence and Diana froze.
"He sent you, right?" He asked and Diana stood there, her mouth falling agape.
He walked over and grabbed the purse from her, taking the camera out.
"Myles..... I..... " Diana badly wanted to tell him how a little boy he knew needed surgery but she restrained herself.
He wouldn't believe her. He was really angry and looked very hurt and betrayed.
"I can't believe that I felt for this. I thought you were different, Danger." He looked disappointed.
Diana looked away, refusing to meet his scowl.
