I'm currently driving us home. I offered to drive us back because I knew Damian had been drinking. Even though he claimed he didn't get drunk from that much wine, I insisted on driving. It's better to be safe.
"We're here," I said as soon as we arrived. I removed my seat belt, but I didn't feel any movement from the passenger seat.
"Damian?" I called out to him because he wasn't moving and his eyes were closed. "We're here," I repeated, gently shaking his shoulder to wake him up. But nothing happened, I could still hear his soft snores.
"Look at this! He said he wasn't drunk," I said irritably and got out of the car, then walked over to his side and opened the passenger door. "Damian, wake up. We're here," I said again, shaking his shoulder.
